Why does Neogaf hate Giantbomb's community ??

Not really sure why everyone keeps insisting that Giantbomb is full of kids. This site has one of the older user bases I've seen on a game site.

I like gaf but they really have a fucked up mod policy, random posts in huge threads that name a condition for bans, going through and posting peoples personal info and heck I remember in the 1up podcasts everybody said they've been banned from there at least once. I dont know why I decided to throw that tidbit in since I dont post much on gaf or giantbomb =/ I do stop by and check all the content daily love the whole giantbomb crew!  If i had to answer the op, id say its a pretty loyal elitist community so they'll stick with what they love,

Ok I'll say I dislike a lot of the comments under the quick looks, so much stupid there. Then again there's a whole bunch of stupid everywhere, on NeoGAF quite a lot too. So I don't hate or dislike the giant bomb community because you're just as stupid as the GAF community. Some nice guys in both communities too.

Random hate on the Internet? I don't care what forum you browse, it can be in the best community ever assembled and you're still going to get a number of immature idiots. I've seen vulgar filth spill from this community at 200 mph in the chat rooms for the early Live shows, and I've seen hateful comments with absolutely no base in just about every piece of free content these guys post for us on a daily basis. Poor old Brad Nicholson gets raped over the fire every single time he posts a news article even though there's absolutely no reason for it, and people were calling for Kesslar to be burned at the stake for his Quick Looks (which were free content.)

That sounds mean, but sadly we have to bend over and accept it as truth. I stick with Giant Bomb at the moment for their content, and the portion of the community who aren't complete idiots seem to be some really cool people. I bet NeoGaf is the same way, with its share of terrible, terrible people sprinkled with some cool duders.

Maybe someday we can all learn to be civilized human beings to each other, and perhaps one day the world will split open and a geyser of delicious chocolate chip cookies will rain down on all of humanity for us all to enjoy. I'm looking forward to those cookies.

The amount of times I've seen the equivalent of "Giant Bomb is so much better than every other forum/community. if you're not part of GB, you're a jerk" posted, without any apparent sense of self-awareness or irony, leads me to believe that it's not the most difficult place to dislike if you were visiting from somewhere else. Just sayin'.
