Because they share the same designers and they are part of the same company. Gamespot now looks more like Comic Vine & GB as well.

They also share the same Whiskey Media history.

but yes as @hassun said, Giant Bomb and ComicVine were built on the same wiki framework for Whiskey Media, as well as Tested and the now defunct Anime Vice & Screened .

When CBSi bought Giant Bomb and Comic Vine from Whiskey Media in 2012 they didn't acquire the WM wiki tech (which went with Berman-Braun who bought the other three sites), and had to rebuild GB & CV's tech.
