i recently installed windows 7 on my computer. At first it would let me connect to the internet at all, only for a few minutes after my computer restarted.i did the whole restart your router thing a couple of times too.  then i found the network and sharing center in the control panel and did the trouble shooting and now it works just fine. that is until i try to watch a video on the internet at witch point i will get 15 seconds, the video will buffer for a little bit until i get disconnected.

i am directly plugged in to my internet using google chrome as a browser.
can someone please help me?

I dunno. I mean you could just change Browser because that totally could be it, but that aside it could be something more complicated.

I would suggest asking at Tested.com, you'd probably get more help there.

This. Also, after you've tried some other stuff, you might just want to give your ISP a ring if it's anything like my ISP.

Yeah, try a different browser for sure.

Does it happen just on Giant Bomb? or all streaming video sites?

Do you have any other traffic going at the time (like bit-torrents)

If you stop the video after it fails & try loading a new webpage, does that work? or
Do you actually get disconnected from your network?  (for example, Limited / no connectivity message pops up in the corner or something)

Try disabling any software firewalls you have running (temporarily)

Also, try logging into a different windows profile

Did you upgrade to Windows 7 or replace your OS with Windows 7? I heard doing the upgrade can create some problems. Also like others said try another browser.

After I upgraded from Vista, many of my drivers were not up to date. You may want to try updating the relevant drivers and codecs manually. The auto-update for me, updated everything except my microphone driver which I had to do manually. Otherwise, is this happening with flash video? If so you should check out this discussion for a fix. I hope some of these ideas help.
