why is it called SID MEIER'S civilization

I've always wondered why his name is on the game like that.

Because he is a legend, why is it called MADDEN, same reasons and it is also brand recognition. Sid Meir means quality and a expectation that people want. That is what Tom Clancy used to have before he sold his name away.

Apparently it's because someone else suggested it. One of those people might have been Robin Williams, which is pretty awesome.

Interesting, but now I feel even more confused =\

I think the key point here is that it wasn't Meier's idea, and that it was suggested it be done to promote brand recognition. And hey, it worked.

I liked Sid Meier's XCOM

Sid Meier is a pretty cool name. Has a natural essence of class to it, like American Mcgee.

Very true. I used to be able to do this with steam up until about a year an a half ago, but then they just started putting crap up.
