Wii Game Giveaway!!
Thanks for all submissions, but it's time to give away some gaming goodness.
As a last-minute twist, I've decided to award two games, one to Zenaxzd for his super-obscure pick Shining in the Darkness, and one to Meowayne for an equally obscure Maboshi and kick-ass picture of a Panda.
Congrats guys!
Cheers, and Happy Holidays!
" @Fbomb said:If you have a Wii, pick a game, and say why." Well, this idea died pretty quickly... seriously, it's only a few sentences or a paragraph, not an essay... Oh well. "Obviously nobody plays games on the Wii! Gosh! I'd love to participate, but I'm awful with these kind of contests. "
For Example:
"Legend of the Mystical Ninja
Because, honestly, I've always wanted to be a ninja, second only to being Mystical. This game obviously has both, which is why I want/deserve this game."
Simple, no?
" There aren't really many Wii VC titles people are eager to get. In the PlayStation Store on the other hand... "@DanielJW said:
" @Fbomb: You can buy unlock codes for PSN games on Amazon if I understand correctly. ^_^ "
Hey, if you know how it can be done, let me know. I looked, but couldn't find anything. And really, are people going to stick their noses up at free? How many people have Lost Winds, World of Goo, or River City Ransom already?
instead of giving away a game to a random person online, why not give it to someone you actually know in person?
" instead of giving away a game to a random person online, why not give it to someone you actually know in person? "Because if I'm giving someone I know something, it's not going to be a videogame. Also, because it's fun to give away random things. This idea was inspired by Stang's "Beat me and win my Fightpad" thread.
I have been a fan of the Shining games for a fairly long time since I bought the first one on the VC so when I heard of this one I thought "wow this is a no brainer, I totally need to buy this one as well". There was just one minor problem, where the other games I played were SRPGs this was a first person RPG. Now, I have played a lot of games since I've been born, but at the same time I have never played a first person RPG especially one so old. Thus I have always been hesitant to buy it with my own cash, especially since I no longer have a job thanks to some bad luck.
Sounds like fun.
World of Goo, since I have heard alot about the game and its uniqueness.
I haven't bought it mainly because me and roommate could not figure out how to properly navigate the Wii shopchannels (stupid I know, my roommate is a computer science major so I was hoping he could figure it out). We wanted to buy the Deadspace suit in Tigerwood PGA 10, but we couldn't even figure out how to get to the damn game specific shopping channel. When we finally got there it turned out that suit wasn't available for the Wii and we decided never to attempt getting DLC for Wii again.
Interesting idea, definitely in topic with the season.
Me?
LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias
I really dug the first game, one of the most unique and interesting looking games on the wii/VC. The world and ideas were pretty endearing, so I'd be really interested in seeing where the story goes now.
@Zenaxzd: I've also decided that you shouldn't be left out of obscure gaming goodness, so send me your friend code, and I'll send you a game! Cheers! :)
