Are we heading for major changes in the game industry over the next few years and will it be good or bad. Bad as in all the games we will be playing are iphone/tablet type games that are fun for 5 minutes.

I think it's too vague of a question to answer...

Yeah I don't think all games will be tablet games but if this generation is any indication, it's only going to get worse from here.

Yeah I mean look at online shooters like Battlefield and Call of Duty struggling to get by, Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto can't seem to find an audience and I don't think the Assassin's Creed series can make a but either. Oh and those big games like Halo and Resident Evil - you can't give them away. And I feel bad for RPG fans - Skyrim sold so poorly and Mass Effect was a huge failure.

Before you start calling doomsday why don't you consider the facts? I play games on my iPad, X360, 3DS, Vita, PC, iPhone ... why should one die for one to live? Activision, EA, UbiSoft -- they're the big players and they all make big budget games. Arguments like this sound like a 13-year-old who can't afford an iOS device and wants to bring everyone down.

You may have a point. Come to think of it, I haven't heard of any new movies or TV shows since YouTube came out in 2005.

The only change I want to see (and I really want to see it next year) is the death of DVD / blu ray based games. I want a 100% digital Xbox 720 library. I'm so sick of game cases and having to put discs in. I just want to have my games on a hard drive / in the cloud and have them available from anywhere, anytime. Rumor is there will be a version of the 720 without a disc drive, so hopefully my dream will come true.
