Absolutely. I'd rather wait until I know a release date on a game I'm dying to play, but I have this sneaking sensation that the system itself will be in high demand and low supply through Holiday 2011. So I'll buy one on release day and not worry about it when a game I want shows up in August / September.
Nope. So far, I'm not really interested in any of the games. When they announce a new Castlevania, Pokemon, The World Ends With You or something of that caliber (a Mega Man JRPG that's as good as the best Battle Network games would be a dream come true...) I'll get one for sure, but until then, I'll stick to my DS.
Both the PSP and DS, I pre-ordered. I'll do the same with the 3DS, if only because I'm 70% sure that there will be a shortage shortly after release. Also because I'm a consumer whore.
Yes, mainly to replace my DS Lite which has been broken for the past couple of years. I missed a lot of great DS games over that period, so I can't wait to pick it up. I'm also looking forward to a few games I've seen for the 3DS (Pilotwings, Steeldiver, OoT remake, and some that will probably not be out for a while).
I'd like to get my hands on one first and see how the 3D looks. I hate watching 3D movies because I already wear glasses and it never stops looking blurry, like I can't focus on it. I want to see if the 3DS is different.
No because I rarely game on the go. I have a DS but in all honesty a GBA would probably work for me no more than I game outside of the house and I can't bring myself to play a little screen when I have a 56" in my living room with a PS3 and 360 and a 26" in my bedroom with a Wii and PS2.

Yeah this is what I'm thinking too. I think the battery life thing sold me on it. Not that it was terrible, just I think that they will do better, and I'm not gonna buy multiple 3DSes...
They announce a game for it that actually looks interesting enough to buy a whole new system to play it on.
I get to try it first and see if the 3D actually works. Being born nearly blind in my right eye I doubt it will work for me, so if the 3D part becomes integral to to all the games on the platform, then I will never get it because it will never work for me.
And of course, they will just re-release a better version of it in a year or two, so I might as well wait for that.
I usually grab 1st generation hardware, but with something like the 3DS I'll probably end up waiting for a 3DS Lite or whatever comes out afterward. The projected battery life on the 3DS is terrifying, as is the supposed viewing angle, so I'm hoping that stuff can be, if anything, slightly improved in the second hardware release.
Yeah, I'll buy one. If I don't get it now, I'm pretty sure that thing is going to be impossible to find later in the year. Especially around the holidays.
Sure, I have a job so I can pay for it. I could probably buy two but I'm not sure they would let me. Well ok that's not true, those weird rules don't apply to anything here
The only games I'm interested in are the remakes, so until there are quality releases that aren't remakes and the price goes down, I won't be getting a 3DS.
@PrimeSynergy: lol true, cause batterys poop on 3DS, 3-4 hours with 3D gameplay...im gonna get one anyway though i aint bothered by 3D but im interested by how this works and how good it is so ill pick one up on March 25th
