Witcher 3 announced (more info on neofgaf)

Just saw on Kotaku that witcher 3 has been officially announced.

Some highlights:

  • World supposedly 20% bigger than Skyrim's
  • 30-40 minutes to cross world on Horseback
  • New streaming technology (CDRED Engine 3)
  • Geralt's Memory is restored
  • No chapters/acts
  • Dude is fucking DONE fighting for everyone else
  • Everything from solving MYSTERIES to slaying monsters
  • Coming out on "all top-of-the-line" consoles

I like the fact that "Geralts Memory is restore" is not only a bullet point but one that I am genuinely excited about!

Fucking sweet! Witcher 2 really needed a better open world. It felt fine while you were playing it, but in hindsight the areas and things you could do felt a little lacking. It also dragged down the crafting for me as well. Guess the best way I can put it is the items didnt feel like they get the proper exposure they need? Making them all feel a little pointless? Something was just off, I didnt care about my items. Hope a open world fixes that by necessity.

I think it was pretty much restored at the end of Witcher 2 but yeah :)

Geralt is a strong independent Witcher who don't need no man to tell him what to do

I am very excited for this. Defiantly going to start saving so I can build a decent pc
