So, the dastardly dawg, Dave desires working-class Folk ditties about Giant Bomb.

I have a decent idea to what that denotes and have dug around for some music, but so far I am discontent with my discoveries.

Dear Giant Bomb Denizens,

Doth thou know of any music that would meet Dave's Delphic descriptor of a working-class Folk song?  Do share.

Danke schön.

You know, I was thinking about what would constitute as a "working class folk song," but I'm not so sure either.  Would Maggie's Farm constitute as one?

Pretty much all folk music is working class. Not to mention there is folk music from all over the world. The options are limitless with this QotW.

I wanted to make some Folk metal. :(

Looks like I'll have to branch out and make my own idea of working-class folk music up, as I have no idea what Dave means by it. I'd appreciate a nod in the right direction though.

My first thought when I hear the term "working class song". Plenty more but that's all I have in my head right now.

Indie's just a modern word for folk. Listen to some indie music and remove all the instruments other than the acoustic guitar and the cowbell, and you've got your folk music. You should probably bring up salt mines or something, for the working class bombcasters down in the salt mines.

@iAmJohn Lyrically I would say yes, but the electric instruments doesn't make it a folk song, though the term 'folk rock' may apply

@PenguinDust: Yep, the first song that came to mind was Working Class Hero by John Lennon.

I wanted to do an acoustic cover of "My Heart Belongs to Giant Bomb" But I'd prefer the original singer to perform it and I'd just do the guitar part.
