So, in his ongoing quest to podcast everything, Doug Benson has a podcast on food and, as part of that, he regularly does potlucks where people bring food and he and his guests eat and talk about the food. Given that GB seems to be expanding it's podcast offering and food is a common topic, this seems like a a natural extension. Do it as part of a meetup during a big event -- like E3 or PAX(though that might be very tiring). And each of the GB members has to at least try everything(with one veto). Anyone else think this would be cool?
Would you attend/listen to a Giant Bomb potluck podcast?
Food talk has led to some of the best bombcast moments. I'm down for any new podcast they want to drop on us.
Give dan a choice of ingredients, 30 mins, and have the rest of the crew judge/wax horror at his creations.

Same here.

I feel like they've been sent enough food to the office that they could do this pretty easily right now.
Yes, totallly! I love cooking from online recipes and new gimmicky fast food products, so this would be right up my alley.
For PAX and E3 type events, covering local food specialties would be awesome, even if it means I have to see Drew biting off a chunk of a sheep's face again.
Episode 1 SNEAK PEAK:
Jeff: I brought Dominos.
Dan: I brought some Taco Bell.
Jeff: Everyone else in the office called in sick today.

Y'know, Dan gets a lot of crap for being a picky eater, but... I don't like the idea of forcing someone to try food they really don't want to.
At least give him an out. Something dumb like "for each food you don't try, you have to stream an hour of Monster Hunter." For Jeff: Mario Party.
Or flip it around and make it a reward for trying everything.
While I would love another podcast, I'd prefer to see something original rather than their version of someone else's idea. The Bombcast follows the basic format used by 99% of video game podcasts, but it's also an extension of the old Gamespot podcast, so it gets a pass. Back in the early days of the Bombcast, there was talk about doing a show around energy drinks and other beverages. I don't believe there was enough material to do something lasting on that subject. I wouldn't mind a show where discussing food was a part of it, but I don't think I could take 2 hours of them ranting about burgers and burritos every week. Excuse the pun, but I think there needs to be more meat for a good show.
@personandstuff: Absolutely down for this. Won't be able to attend, though. Also, you've made me realize how hungry I am.
I bet the location of their office would make it pretty difficult to have fresh food unless they cooked it there.
I would watch the Duders open and use a hot dog toaster cause I love weird videos like that. I kind of want them to do that fast food blind taste test challenge, maybe on the Big Live Live Show Live.
An audio podcast would be cool as well, that's more content for me to consume
If I were them, I would never eat/drink anything that wasn't in a retail package.
Seems super sketchy to just eat some random "brownies" or whatever.
The only thing I could think was someone baking their own hair into a pie.
