Would you like color-coded names back?

I'm fine without them.

It wasn't easy being green, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I kind of would, as I feel like only being being red makes everyone run together. Also, you just kind of associate people with that color of their username, and now it feels oddly off without them.

I'd like it, not being attached to "platform alignment". I had mine green just because I liked it green!

No, I'd rather they spend time doing something else, no matter how easy it is to implement. Even if Dave gets time, I would prefer he eat a sandwich than implement this.

I didn't consider the possibility of a sandwich being involved when i made this poll. I must meditate on this.

I'd prefer that they bring back the old caption editing system. The new system is just cumbersome.

Also I think the majority of the people complaining about reviews were blue, just look at the DMC and Catherine reviews.

No, because I didn't even know what the different colors meant or how you changed it until like a month ago. And I usually tell who's who by their avatar, not the color of their username.

Sure, even if they got rid of the alignments it would still be nice to pick what coloured username we want.

But I would love it if the names were next to the avatar pictures again. As they are now, inserted in the middle of post header, it's way less comfortable to quickly identify the poster. It's downright bizzare and illogical.

The thing I'm missing isn't color names its the drop down friends list. That was great for instantly being able to see who was online.

Yeah i miss that too and actually now that you mention it i noticed that we can't see who's online on the forum either and i could have sworn we could see that in the upper right corner of any posts (if the user is online of course).

You weren't seeing things they did have that at launch on the site for sure. Dave said they disabled a ton of stuff for right now until they work out the kinks. That might have been one of the things.

well i just realized that the colors were removed. pretty crazy stuff. i think that they need to bring it back. i enjoyed it, but i was a neutral person.

I think if they brought back colored usernames, but instead of having them be your allegiance I just want to choose whatever color I want!

I think this is a better solution than tying your name to any sort of console affiliation. Make it easier to pick out individuals in the thread.

@animasta: I had gotten so used to identifying people by their avatar and colored name that for the first few weeks it got me every time. "Who the hell are all those people with 10000 post i never saw before!?... oh right"

Now it's back to good ole fashioned reading the name.

If it weren't for this thread I probably would've never even realized that the coloured username feature had been removed.

It was great before because I could just ignore the non-white people.

I liked the different colours.

Yeah. Although if they wanted to disassociate the colors from the consoles then I would be cool with that.

All red is just bad.. Alignments are not necessary but we should be able to have colorful names, it added life to this joint.
