Would you prefer if this site had no ads?

Well since for what ever strange propaganda mods being harsh reason we're not allowed discuss this topic, I thought I'd make a poll. C'mon guys, let's get our old giantbomb back and kick those spamming ads out of here!

its not like the ads get in the way, no pop ups, no "congratulation you just won...", or smileys that go "helloooooooo".

It's economics, they do what they need to in order to survive, deal with it. You have no idea what "spamming" is.

Look at it this way: If Giant Bomb has ads they make more money and that = more awesomeness from the guys.

Besides Firefox will fix the ads for you.

Ads are required to keep the site going, I welcome them since it makes me feel a bit more secure that the site will keep being here and being awesome.

I don't get it; the ads aren't intrusive at all and actually have some relevance to this site, (ie. ComicVine being a sister site and comics generally being more favourable to "gamers" and the Tekken and GoW2 ads were obviously relevant to our interests). I just don't understand the problem at all.

If you right click on them you can block them anyway

They have had Gears of War 2 ads, Watchmen ads, and Tekken ads, but none of them have been obtrusive at all.  Aside from that the ComicVine ads and iPhone app ads don't even really count. "

I agree, but I did like that the Tekken ads had the same color scheme as the site.  I actually think those ads added to the site's presentation, even if I have no interest in Tekken 6. "

It's not that you're not allowed to discuss this topic, it's just that there's nothing to discuss. Refer to your poll if you don't believe me.

I have a question for something you said in your other thread OP:

"Comics and games don't mix."

... What? A lot of people into comics are into games and vice versa. Same thing with Anime. Maybe they don't mix to you, but they usually do.
