Xbox SmartGlass Now on the App Store

Xbox SmartGlass. Finally on the App Store.

UPDATE: Ok, this is pretty piss poor. App behaves very much like the My Xbox Live app, in the sense where it doesn't feel as fluid as a typical iOS app does. Hangs a lot when loading, doesn't feel nowhere near as responsive as a native iOS app. Typical Microsoft crap. I'm using an iPad 3.

UPDATE 2: When you boot up Halo 4, Smartglass loads up Waypoint. Now, instead of hooking into Waypoint's APIs, SmartGlass just seems to be loading up a browser within the app. SmartGlass doesn't feel so smart.

I'm using WP and SmartGlass is really cool on it. Didn't try it with a game yet, but I used it for IE and basic menu navigations and it was really neat and worked pretty snappily. Maybe it works better on the Microsoft ecosystem?

Also, I'm pretty sure that in order for a game to work with smartglass it has to be designed with it in mind... Halo 4 booting up waypoint makes sense because I don't there there are any SmartGlass exclusive features to it. Waypoint has all that covered anyway. I don't really see what you would do with buttons, menu navigation, a pointer, and an address bar in Halo 4.

Just found out today, downloading it now and I'll muck around with this for a bit. This seems very neat when I saw it presented at e3.

- This thing works great with all the streaming apps along with the kinect voice command thing.
