Yay or Nay - Audio Review Podcast for Every Game?
Nay. I like it when Spill does it but GB's podcasts use the beginning to talk about games they are playing any way and discuss the games problems, awesomeness, etc.
We get plenty of good video game talk on the Bombcast. An audio review for every game would require a lot of time and effort for essentially a convenience that they couldn't even monetize. Unless it was for members only, it won't happen. Not sure if I think it should happen either way.
Edit: Oh, you mean more like a spoilercast than a video review in audio only format? That would be cool, but for that to happen, more than one of them would have to play the game in a timely fashion so they could discuss it, and I still think it could only work if it was a members only thing. Spoilercasts are still awesome, though, so I'm grateful for the ones we do get.
The guys are too busy to get together and talk about one game. They basically give little ''reviews'' during the 'What You Been PLaying'' segments of the bombcast.
Nay.
- We don't have to be like every other game site
- It's time consuming
- Written reviews an the occasional video reviews are enough.
I rather have a review in which I can see quickly the good and bad points, or a video I can kickback too while watching.
Only voice seems creepy!
Nah... like a week or two after the release of a big game, a couple of Whiskey dudes who played the game sitting together spitballing for 15-30min." That would be kinda insane. Podcasts are two hours long, right? "
The perfect little audio tidbit for the commute or whatever.
spoiler cast - well for the bighuge games, then yeah, hell, I'd even suggest the guys have it subscription only or do like Ricky Gervais did with his podcasts - charge for them - hell, I'd pay £0.99 for one every couple of weeks.
We already have that, the Bombcast. They talk up and down practically every game they play there anyway. If you can't tell from listening to those podcasts what they think of a game then you haven't been paying attention.
" Nay. I like it when Spill does it but GB's podcasts use the beginning to talk about games they are playing any way and discuss the games problems, awesomeness, etc. "Nice to see some Spill love! Though those audio recordings basically serve as the content for their videos once their edited, so it's not really the same.
I would definitely like that. It would be awesome to hear their in-depth thoughts about every game.
The question is whether or not you guys would want this, not whether or not you think it will happen. I don't think it'll happen because of already mentioned reasons, but I'm still voting yes because it would be awesome.
