My days been shitty, how about some laughs?

A whole development studio is at your fingertips, what's the dumbest or flat out most terrible game title you can think of? (short synopsis entirely optional).

Patriot Brains:

- You play as the Undead President of the US, you have to infect as many living citizens as possible so you can be the leader of the pulse free world.

Crumpeteer:

- You're an entrepreneurial breakfast stand owner just trying to get by selling the finest damn English breakfast food there is. A rival Breakfast stand opens up across the street and a deadly game of cat and mouse takes shape.

Strongbro:

- An unassuming body builder is caught up in a shameful steroid abuse scam, in order to prove your innocence you must display your raw natural power the only way you know how; by lifting weights as furiously and publicly as possible. But are you truly innocent? Only Strongbro can unravel this twisted tale of his own musculinity!

Show me what you've got Giant Bomb,

A Doctor Who FPS/Adventure Game where your weapon is a Sonic Screwdriver and you use it on everything except people. You never shoot anyone.

An old school RPG where everyone wants to fight you and kill you, slime's, guards, assassins. And your only weapon is words. You have to convince people not to kill you by talking to them. Kind of like Phoenix Write, and Final Fantasy 4

Well, this is the actual title of a game I'm prototyping, but I think it fits the spirit, so why not. EXCLUSIVE Giantbomb announcement of...

Road2Rumble: The Smackdown Chronicles, it's a turn-based wrestling strategy rpg.

#12 Edited by BaneFireLord (2952 posts) -

@dagbiker: Isn't that second one basically another Doctor Who game?

#13 Posted by Reisz (1517 posts) -

@sevith: The Smackdown Chronicles is a pretty damn great subtitle.

It's based on a true story that happened to a friend of a friend of a friend of mine.

@beachthunder: Autobiographical games are making a big splash lately, IGF top ten for sure.

America: 1578

It's an MMORPG set in the American Midwest and parts of Canada when it was still ruled by France and the powerful fur trade was making people rich, ruining the lives of Indians, and producing thousands of dapper ass beaver pelt hats! What other venue has a historical precedent for you to quest for 20 bear pelts and bring them back to some guy in a city repeatedly till you earn enough coin for an expensive shoulder piece?

Is it the spiritual successor to Don't Shit Your Pants?

#22 Posted by JackSukeru (5922 posts) -

Dick

It's like Dive Kick but with only 1 button. You press the button once you character walks forward until you release it, press it again and your character either does a low sweep or forward jumping kick (this is completely random), press it a third time and your character walks backwards, after which the pattern starts over. First player to score 3 hits wins the match. Also, every time you character starts walking forward or backwards there is a 11% chance that your character will fall on his face, giving a point to your opponent and leaving you open to further punishment.

Also notable for having a male only roster.

Not Quite A Hero

You play as a superhero who is completely inept. You are the laughing stock of superheroes, and throughout the game you try to get better and prove yourself. You never do.

Explosion Face Laser Babies from Outer Space: The Explosion Face Laser Babies from Outer Space Chronicles (EFLBFOS: TEFLBFOSC for short)

You play as babies from outer space that use face exploding lasers to explode faces. I've already got Michael Bay on board to direct the movie adaptation. Get ready for 2+ hours of face-splosions.

Mostly RPG/Action/Survival Horror/Mecha titles:

Battleship Lady Elizabeth

Named after the Queen Elizabeth II, the biggest and most badass battleship in the Royal Navy, you have to take the fight back to the aliens homeworld, 50 000 000 miles away.

Good Fighter 2: The Second Game

In Good Fighter 2: The Second Game you're a good fighter that has to become better. Again.

Death of Devils

This is the bloody story about how the devils all died and it's your fault! This is your redemption story.

The Legend of Xiollied: Zur Genealogie der Moral

Mechs flying in space and hanging out.

I would play that. "The First Question", or "The Oldest Question". Maybe "Madman With A Box"?

You gotta talk yourself out of situations that aren't Screwdriver-able.

Fuck You; Pay Me

You play as a big name game publisher/developer. You get scored on how many re-hashed sequels you can make, along with the amount of content you can put as DLC. You also get bonus points for how many people you can layoff while still maintaining enough people to make your sequels.

I already have the title screen figured out too. The background will be dark with maybe some large office buildings in the distance. It will also have two towering people in suits (male and female, because equality) on each side of the screen. Both of their heads will be cut off by the top of the screen so all you see is from the torso down (because that way players can imagine themselves as one of the two players.) Then, in big letters in between the two people it will say "Fuck You; Play Me".

TWERK 2014

In our newest installment we added the infinite-jiggle engine, it is able to produce the most realistic to date physics. Each cheek is dynamically modeled based on wind speed, malleability of fabric worn, and slight variation in altitude and gravity. With our all new sync and play, you can start a game playing twerker of the day. Co-op has also been added, partner up with a friend locally or online to control a single butt cheek and work together to "make that paper fly and your high scores high". Our team has also created real to life arena's for the events, including: the dance club, back alley by the trash can, 8th grade dance in the gym, the morgue (i did some research after i thought of this and apparantly people have already twerked at a grave yard and here I thought the morgue was talking the joke to far...), and of course Grandma's house.

With our super in-depth tutorial mode (had to change the rating of the game to AO for this...it is really in depth.), train and take your twerker to the "Bi-annual Universal Tossing Them Opulent Cheeks Kompetition Special" to win the B.U.T.T.O.C.K.S award.

Role Playing Game: The RPG

You are a player at a tabletop RPG meetup. You must follow your character's adventure as they follow their character's adventure and see what twists unfold as they watch what twists unfold. You can place your stats in Charisma (used to try talking the game master into things), Intelligence (allows you to use skills such as purposefully misinterpreting one of the game's rules to allow yourself to do something you shouldn't, or to stop someone from doing something they should be allowed to do), Dexterity (for a chance at cheating your rolls), and Patience (when your patience is depleted, your character gives up the game and leaves to do something else with their Saturday, giving you a game over).

Def Jamtasy VII

A rap battle RPG wherein you must unite an East and West torn apart by the Rap Wars.

Who do I need to pay to play this game? Rap battles are a perfect fit for turn based combat as well. Will there be any breakdancing?

DesperateDuke

A parody of Duke Nukem, never gets any, can't kill anyone. Basically useless, living in his mum's basement.

Missions include "The awkward uncle." - where you need to go to a family birthday party, and try to not be awkward. Lots of multiple choice conversation paths etc.

"basement toilet" - need to plunge a toilet you blocked.

God no. There will be DJs, though, and multiple party members. Imagine Earthbound if everybody was rapping.
