Your favorite year in gaming?

For me hands down '07. Bioshock, cod 4 and halo 3=epic win

1998.

2000.

(Edit) The Dreamcast was at its prime during that year.

I have not had many gaming years and years in general in my life, but 2007 closely followed by 2008. Both great years, but 2007 has to be the best just because of COD 4... best multiplayer game ever!

2006... I upgraded my PC just for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and it ran like a charm. A bonus was, Half Life 2: Episode One, Sid Meier's Civilization IV,  Company of Heroes and for my Wii The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. 

I got my Xbox 360 and Halo 3 in September 07. That was also my first taste of true online gaming. The first few weeks of Halo were incredible. Then the next few months of Bioshock and COD4 were brilliant. 

09, but it hasn't happened yet.

I have traveled to the future.  I have seen the year in all it's gaming glory.  Assassin's Creed 2, CoD MW 2, Bioshock 2, Halo Recon, Starcraft 2, Mass Effect  2 and a few others will be released this year.

This is going to be my greatest year in gaming, since Halo 2 and MGS3 came out.

2003, BROTRR came out.

1998 was a great year to be a gamer

1998 was my favorite year.

The year Diablo III comes out. Totally serious about that, but I don't think I have a particular favorite year. Albeit, both 2007 and 2008 were pretty good.

Dunno yet. I loved GTA IV ('08) like a motherfucker, but that's not enough to base a year off of. I picked up Fallout 3 in February of this year, when I play it over the summer I'll be able to decide. That said, '09 seems pretty hot so far.

1997 was the most memorable year in gaming for me.

Some of these games I still play today. No year will ever compare to 1997 in my eyes.

2004. it was when i got a PS2 which was my first system that i got and i loved it. and yes i was gaming before 2004 just it was my bro's systems and he didnt let me play them very often.

1998. I was playing EarthBound (still), Pokemon Red, Super Mario 64, and Ocarina of Time.

1998. No question about it.
OoT and Red/Blue.

2008 - The year I got my hands on my Xbox and realized I shouldn't have bought my Wii.

1998 is indeed the greatest year in gaming, but my favorite was probably 2001.

Either 1998 or 2007.

1994, but in part because of all the new games from before 1994 that I first played because of getting into PC gaming and getting a Genesis.
