what is your favourite feature on giant bomb? mine is TANG
your favourit feature on gb?
I'd say it's a close tie between the Bombcast and the Quick Looks. I learn more about whether I want a certain game or not from 15 minutes of these guys playing it, than from reading the huge write-ups that other websites provide.
what is your favourite feature on giant bomb? mine is TANG
Serious Answer: Probably the Quick Looks.
First, the Bombcast for me since that is what drew me to the sight anyway. I carried over from the Hotspot after the "troubles" and have enjoyed every episode. I look forward to listening to new episodes every Wednesday.
Second, Quick Looks since I find I gather more information watching these short "over the shoulder" takes on games than I do from a standard video review.
Third, TANG is just pure fun. I am sad to say that I watched Double Dragon on cable TV a few weeks ago after seeing a TANG episode on the film. It was horrible and I blame you, Ryan...thanks, keep up the great work!
Finally, I'm gonna get all schmaltzy and say everyone here in the forums. Most of the people here are smart, open-minded and passionate about games without being gigantic dickwads. I enjoy reading the views of a lot of the folks here. This site has the best community of any gaming site out now as far as I am concerned.
EDIT: The only reason I didn't mention Endurance Run is because I have P4 and don't want to spoil the story so I stopped watching around episode 3. The feature did make me buy the game, though.
It's a hard choice. I'd probably go with the Bombast, because I can listen to it at work and it provides me with a little haven away from the incessant drone of projectors, but I've really enjoyed GB's more visual presentation of games. The fact that the guys actually show you the games being played, rather some neatly put together preview package or teaser trailer (although they also can do that, too), is not only novel, but more informative than a 3,000 word review can.
Although I watch all the videos and listen to the Bombcast religiously, my favourite aspect of the site has to be the wiki. It's great being able to add pages and write about things knowing that you're helping the site become bigger and better.
Bombcast by a million times, because I'm a podcast junkie. Next are definitely the Quick Looks. I really enjoy pretty much all of it though. Don't really care about Persona so I haven't bothered with the Endurance Run, but I'm looking forward to them maybe trying a game I'm more interested in at some point.
Bomcast, Endurance Run, Wiki.
TheKidNixon said: Bombcast is first, only because it is both entertaining and informative. Like Beakman's World! how is music informative? [more]
Those aren't features! You people are crazy. Crazy! :P
Actually, all I'm really saying is that it's not really a feature in the same sense as the Bombcast, the Endurance Run, TANG, and other regularly scheduled features. It's definitely a feature, but I consider it separate from the stuff that the staff puts out.
TANG is pretty neat, but I have no clue how it can be your favorite feature of Giant Bomb. Have you even explored the site?
Endurance Run is my crack, and there's nothing like listening to a new Bombcast while playing some SF IV.
