Yeah, they have multiple teams. But Personally(GET IT), I'd prefer those teams to work on new games instead of remaking old games that can perfectly stand by themselves. Besides, segments of the Persona team were involved with P3P, not to mention the big 3(Soejima,Meguro,Hashino)

........But then there's the part where Persona 4 is a cool game that isn't really starving for content at all and seeing talented dev teams only pump out sequels and remakes is heartbreaking.
I'd bet a kidney or two that its not on the PSP. Its probably on the 3DS, given their experience with DS:O and the fact that the unnamed Persona title showed up on the 3DS list of games.
I don't see why a dual platform release is so outrageous, though.

@mutha3: I just can't see slow-ass Atlus getting on board with Vita so quickly, especially when they're barely on 3DS as it is (and that's an even more straight remake than P3P was). This has got to be another PSP joint, though I could maybe see them do the BlazBlue: CS2 thing and release it on both PSP and 3DS.

The Persona brand is a lot bigger than that, big enough that they can sell more than, like, 10k in the US. Hell, P3P sold roughly half of what the original did and 2-3x what FES did if memory serves. I can't fathom this being a PSP-exclusive release at all. @Dany said:

Ugh so many possible outcomes for what this means. 1. It's P4P on Vita, in which case fuck I need to get a Vita. 2. It's P43DS, in which case cool. 3. It's HD P4 on 360/PS3 in which case holy shit yes watching HD Dojima drink coffee and punching Adachi in the face. 4.It's actually Persona 5, and Atlus is wearing their biggest trollface right now with the design of this teaser page.
Remember this could be something related to the Persona 4 anime,
Persona 4: The Animation premieres this October, so I think this is cross-marketing to a P4 Portable game. TGS is in September so chances are good we'll know more then.

I'll be really pissed if this is a port/remake of P4. I'm about 20 hours into playing P4 for the first time and I'm loving it. But I would have no motivation to re-play those 20 hours again, even if the game is enhanced.

For reference, what was originally only known as Devil Survivor 3DS turned out to be Devil Survivor Overclocked.

I've been playing through P3P for the past couple of weeks and haven't found the lack of animation/polygonal figures to dampen my enjoyment of the game. I still got all of the endearing traits that Persona 4 had (when I watched the Endurance Run, that is) and still am having a fantastic RPG experience. Not to mention that the improvements in some of the game's mechanics are phenomenal. I was watching my friend play Persona 3 FES the other day, and I was simply astonished to see that you didn't have direct commands over all the characters. I'm thankful to play a version of the game that has those improvements, though I'm not aware if any other version had them as well.
