The Contest: Win Cash Money
Last year, we ran a contest for anyone in the community to create an awesome corporate Christmas card for Beefy Media. The results were astounding, and the winning submission was sent out to all of our clients via e-mail.
This year, I'm looking to RAISE the STEAKS. (Yes, I did that). We are going to DOUBLE the award pot from $50 to $100 (deep pockets, right?) AND the winning card will be PRINTED and mailed (hard copy style) to all of our clients and a handful of Giant Bomb community members.
Recap from last year:
- It should involve either a cow, beef of some sort, and then a Christmas/ Holiday theme. Some ideas would be a Christmas dinner spread with beef instead of turkey, a cow with a Santa hat and beard, an elf made of roast beef - anything at all. If it has video game elements, all the better
- Since it won't be a commercially sold product, Trademarked imagery is fine but try to avoid it if you can.
- Please provide a HIGH RESOLUTION FILE (.PSD preferred, but .TIF, .PNG acceptable) that is 5x7 (work area can be 5.5 x 7.5 for printing purposes). Dropbox, YouSendit, whichever delivery method preferred
The Beefy Font is called 'Boston Traffic' and the link is here.
The Media font is called 'Mesquite STD' and the link is here.
The cut off is MIDNIGHT on Thursday, Dec 15th. I will announce the winner on Friday, and send the cards to the printers.
A little bit about Beefy Media
In 2010, I left Capcom to start my own video game production company. Since the start of 2011, we have released 6 products - Scre4m for iOS/Android, for iOS, Spy Kids 4 for iOS, Scre4m, Robocop, and Rocky Avatar Collections. We've announced World Gone Sour and Pid for consoles, both coming in 2012. We've had the pleasure of working with awesome people at The Weinstein Company, MGM, Kraft, Might & Delight, CodeGlue, Other Ocean, Muteki, and many other companies.
Special Thanks
What I'm also thankful for is the incredible community here at Giant Bomb. I've worked with YOU FOOLS to create banners for my website, jam on music ideas for games, design t-shirts, secretly test games, record VO, edit videos, and shoot the shit on Skype randomly. It's really an amazing place, and I'm proud to be part of this community.
I'm excited for 2011's entries! GOOD LUCK, and may the best PHOTOCHOPZ SKILLZ WIN.
