I like video games, that's me. Don't like me because I do play video games? Fine. I've never lied about myself or about what I can/cannot do, people just have to accept me for who I am, after all, I do accept others for who they are. Besides, there's nothing to be ashamed of about doing what you like to do.

I have no problem saying I like videogames, at least if I find somebody else who does I can have a good conversation with them.
 
In fact, if I had to lie about what I like to stop people from being judgemental, I'm not sure why I'd want to get along with them anyway!

I play only pc games and don't play ps3 games exactly like I said. However I don't play pc games all day like I have no life because I post on the forum a lot.

Define lie: do I sometimes say I play less than I actually do, yes.  Do I ever lie and say i don't play them at all, no.

I said A-The only thing I lie about is just how long I play. I generally do 6-10 hour sessions and people done need to know that I sit there for that long. Also If I want to play Starcraft without distraction I say that i'm doing studio work. I do that often as well for about the same amount of time.
But hey - Who doesn't like a good old 10 hour marathon with a 12 pack?

Yeah once i remember i was at a second interview for a job, i had to ghost someone while they did the job. the person asked me about my hobbies and they asked how much I play, so I said rarely. But that was cause I know they would be judging, otherwise, no I don't lie.

Of course I do! My friends know I'm mad into gaming, but I don't want everyone to attach that, "Oh, he plays video games" stereotype onto me. Sure, if someone asks whether or not I like video games I will give them an honest answer, but I'm not one to strut around in a "FOR THE HORDE" WoW T-shirt.

Nah.  I spent a good long time attempting to be cool by pretending to like cool things (which I didn't).  And so all the people who are nerds and like games don't identify with you, and you don't meet as many people who you relate to.  If you're upfront with your interests and personality, you'll get to know the right people for you.
 
Granted, I can admit I don't know very many.  I have maybe 6 good friends.

B. I'm usually honest but when I see I'm going to be dealing with someone of the mindset of "games are for kids" on a daily basis I'll say I don't play as much as I really do.

I'm totally honest to my close friends of course. However I don't want to be known as the nerd to everyone i know, so while i'll happily admit i play games regularly, I do play down just how much i play them, and how I spend pretty much all my free time talking about them on the internet :P
