@Binman88:
One should always assert their gripes with a business. Too many Americans think that buying a specific product is a privelege; it's not. Businesses owe everything to their customers, and if you have a legitimate complaint (two weeks and a price drop), businesses should do what they can to appease you. But, if you feel you should bend over for businesses, be my guest.

If playing a game 2 weeks earlier is worth $10 to you then it's worth it. If it's not worth $10 to you, buy the game a few weeks after launch.

Sounds like a lot of whining to me.  You wanted the game bad enough to buy it full price on day 1, but that has no bearing on me who wants the game to be cheaper and is willing to wait for it to drop.  It doesn't matter if that happens in 2 weeks or 6 months.

It's the same reason I won't be buying Left 4 Dead 2 on day one. I KNOW it'll be part of some random Steam sale sometime down the line.

" How is this screwing over day one buyers? Price drops are common as hell now. You obviously wanted the game enough to buy it on day one, so you are going to get charged a premium for playing the game as early as possible, it's called an early adopter fee. "
This.

I hate Gamestop as much as the next guy, but price drops a good thing.  Especially since these are price drops on new games, not used ones.  I am absolutely baffled that anybody thinks this is a bad thing.

that is pretty crazy. it is weird that a price dropped happened so early. gamecrazy also does this type of thing. my friend bought call of duty: world at war a couple of months and gamestop it's still $60 from when i checked.

i kind of know how u feel. i bought a ps3 at dell and used a coupon for like 15% off electronics. i paid like $360 for it and now it's $350 for 80gig. and now it's $300 for slim 120gig. it's alright since i got a discount on it, $10 more then would it is now.

Ugh. I know. I bought LittleBigPlanet for $60 last year and now I could go and get the Game of the Year Edition for less than that.

You know what sucks? Playing a video poker machine at a casino and not winning, but as soon as you get up and someone else takes over they win the jackpot. I HATE that! Had I waited it out a few more hands I would have won the jackpot! It's so not fair! ; ;

it's just economics. Obviously demand for those titles has fallen off more quickly than expected and they're trying to reinvigorate it by lowering prices.

If one felt that paying X amount for a game was worth it then however much it comes down in price after that shouldn't make all that much difference. It is a bit of a pain when it comes so soon after but the same thing applies.

@Red: I don't know how long it was before LBP came down in price but comparing prices at launch and a full year after release is mad crazy, GOTY editions included. One could sit around and wait for every game to come down in price it's just a case of deciding which ones you think are worth getting on or near launch and which ones you can hold out for. If you, in hindsight, were to not get LBP at $60 it's more that you felt it wasn't worth $60.

I was being sarcastic.
I'll rephrase it:
Life isn't fair, so suck it up.

This.

Also...are you going to bitch when those games only cost $20 or $30 on Black Friday?

Seriously, just suck it up.
