How do you earn "points"?

I know this question has probably been asked before, but I can't seem to find it. I guess you earn points from editing pages....but if you don't want to edit pages....is there another way? Wrote a blog...no points. Wrote a couple of reviews...no points. I'm confused.

You earn points by editing pages like you do your profile....after 1000 points you should be able to get them instantly :D

Just dont add any bs though....

it doesn't matter cuz if you add bs they will reject you. just like they did to me with halo earlier today :D, i just didnt have the facts right, i would never harm giantbomb.

Man, I've been editing the shit out of some HALO pages. I already got 33 points :D And the two full articles I wrote haven't even been accepted yet, which should give me a nice amount of points methinks.

Only problem is it's gonna take FOREVER to get to 1,000 points, and I don't like having to go through moderation :(

So it seems that the best way to earn points is by writing info in articles for games, characters etc and adding images right? But how come we can't get them for reviews, because that's what I'm planning to do most.. Or should i just put my reviews for games in the article, cuz that way i will get points, or will it just get rejected?

What do you mean Blackwater? I was just asking whether i could do that, because if not it's unlikely i'm gunna be able to get to 1000 points by updating game info only. And I'm very impatient and don't want to wait 24 hours to update sumthin :)

Writing a shitty blog shouldn't get you points. Reviews? MAYBE later down the line, but thats just too much approving to be done. Just add photos and articles to games to get points, dont be lazy, CONTRIBUTE.

I think a lot of people are just making useless edits just to get points. Like ive seen so many games wrongly categorized.
