I think if I'm gonna play anymore Sonic, I'll see what games are included in that old sega collection.  This doesn't look terrible, but I just don't really care about Sonic anymore.

I still don't like that they are using 3D models (makes the animation look crummy) but it sure looks like old-school Sonic, speed and all.

Spin animation looks too slow which makes the whole thing feel too slow. It just looks jerky and weird.

Good thing the game isn't coming out for a long time, huh guys.
 
Anyways, it would have been great if we actually saw someone decent playing.  This game looks is going back to its roots indeed, I'll give it that.  I hope it doesn't suck in the end, though.

If they can fix/tweak up that poor animation I'll be game. It's not that difficult to do. 
But yeah, let's wait for something more than a minute clip, taken from a video camera by some guy who doesn't know how to play.  
 
Anyone know why it's called "Episode 1" yet?
