Did you ever stop to think that when your wife sees you looking at these pictures that she feels inadequate? Who wants to come home and see their spouse looking at other people of the opposite sex? It is disrectful, but I also don't care what you do. Oh and saying you read Maxim and Playboy for the articles is a lie. You have to realize that if you're doing something that may anger your wife, her brother will probably be upset by it.

It's his decision, not his wife's decision. However if his wife finds offense to it, his eyes might open up and change his mind about it.

However to OP; fuck your Brother in Law who care's what he thinks just tell him you are gonna continue to read the articles and bang his sister. Fuckin people put their nose in others people shit too much is this world

And seriously what grown man looks at playboy for the pics; sure you'll flip to em but most people will go buy a porno movie or mag if they want that. Playboy is articles and airbrushed models and fap material for 13 year old boys.

Lastly if you want to prove to her its for the articles have her sharpie over the women or cut them out if it won't ruin the article on the back, unless you are some collector.

I could never believe that any guy ever subscribes to those magazines just for the articles. I don't think that's humanly possible for the male gender. Besides, you can probably just as easily find similar articles online for free... so why pay for them? Admit it, it's for the ladies.

I think your brother-in-law is right, and I think it's kind of disturbing that your wife's brother knows that you have adult magazines. I'm thinking either you're pretty open about it or she doesn't like it and has complained to her brother about it. I think the ideal thing to do here would be to have an honest talk with your wife about it. If she says she doesn't like it or it makes her uncomfortable at anything, do the right thing and donate them to me. ;)

I don't think it's disrespectful even if you aren't just looking at the articles. Lots of men look at other chicks in magazines. Just like men masturbate even when we have a significant other. I think it's because of our balls or something. lol. But if you truly are looking at articles and nothing more, there should be no problem with it. BUT it all depends on what your wife thinks. You should talk to her about it because she's really the only one who can tell you whether it's "disrespectful" or not. Even if her brother says it is (much like he would if you tell him what you do with your wife, let's be real. I'm a brother too and I'm protective. lol), if SHE says it's cool then it's cool. Of course if she doesn't then I guess it's no more Playboy for you bro.

You should definitely stop it. Even if she's fine with it, this Brother-in-law obviously isn't, and if you have any hope of not being hated in her family, you should stop.

Also: reading and subscribing to Playboy just for the articles is a joke, and it's still pretty bad.

@putz: Well, I think it really depends on your relationship with your wife. On Attack of the Show there is a five minute special about sex and relationships once a week hosted by Olivia Munn and this sex specialist named Anna David. There were asked a similar question and they felt that guys in general should be aloud to read these magazine and even look at the pictures without the significant other being upset about it.

I'm sure you don't want to upset the Misses so if she tells you that she has a problem with it maybe you want to stop reading it or at least buy it off news stands so two less days a month she doesn't she pictures of practically naked attractive women when she gets the mail.

I don't understand how your brother in law knows you read these magazines. At the end of the day it isn't any of his business and I don't really understand how you would be disrespecting your wife because you reading articles about sex in magazines.

You make a great point. Either the magazines are everywhere, which would be gross considering what he's probably doing with them or, the wife complained to her brother about them. It's unlikely that the brother would rifle through their things for no reason. Whic makes the husband here, even more of a douchebag.

Your brother-in-law is being disrespectful to your wife by not letting her decide what is right and wrong in your relationship.

If she were to ban you from reading magazines that would be disrespectful to you. Marriage is about accepting people, not changing them. If she's concerned about the kids finding them, that's a different, more practical issue. But what you read is your decision whether it's Playboy, Hustler, or CatFancy.

Nothing wrong with Playboy or Maxim. I've had subs to both in the past. There is no porn in either mag, just nudes. Playboy is honestly a let down photo-wise all the chicks look like they just got out of a Glamor Shots photo-shoot at the dirt mall.
