So far I have these games on my pre-order list of fall 2009.

Scribblenauts(DS)
Dragon Age: Origins Collector's Edition
Modern Warfare 2:Prestige Edition
Left 4 Dead 2
Assassin's Creed 2
Batman Arkham Asylum

What games am I missing? Can anyone think of something that is coming out soon that I am missing? I know about The Beatles Rockband and no I don't want it. Also I know Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2 were pushed to next year so don't recommend those either. This is about this year. Thanks. Also tell me what your list is?

My preorder list is out of sync with what I'm actually going to buy. I just preorder stuff when there's some kind of deal, and cancel the preorder if I end up not wanting the game.

Right now I have 11 games preordered, only 2 of those are sure things, 2 others I may buy on PC or 360, but I only have the 360 version preordered for now. I don't have Uncharted 2 preordered and I know I'll want that, but there's some other titles I don't have preordered that I may pick up...

To the OP, what about Brutal Legend, Forza 3, NFS Shift, Splinter Cell Conviction? Do you have any platforms besides 360 and DS?

I've got the special edition of Dissidia: Final Fantasy on pre-order, seems like a great deal. Not sure if I'll be pre-ordering anything else, unless some more special editions come up.

My list consists of:
Halo 3: ODST, Forza 3, Gay Tony, Dragon Age, Borderlands, Batman Arkham Asylum, Uncharted 2 and Scribblenauts.
Relieved that Splinter Cell was pushed back, and I'm sure I'm probably forgetting a few. I'll likely get Risen if it's any good, it seems interesting but there's so little information.

Anyway, I'd say the biggest ones you're missing are Uncharted and ODST. Uncharted speaks for itself, and ODST seems like a totally different take on Halo.. a lot more character driven, open ended and more in line with the original. Should be very interesting.

I think you can safely scratch off Old Republic. You'll be lucky to see that released late next year.
But it does look like everything an MMO should be. If they've managed to do away with subscription fee's, it'll be perfect.

Sometimes games sell out. At least in specific stores, which might be the only one near where you live.

Sometimes (quite often) you get some little bonus item for pre ordering.

It's free to pre order in stores, so there's no reason not to.
