How 'bout the ability to track progress in your games? I currently use The Backloggery ( http://backloggery.com/) to do this, but the interface is clunky and it's essentially a one-trick pony. I'd love to be able to note that I've beaten-completed-mastered games in my GB lists. I feel like this would be a handy feature that would increase site traffic, so it sounds like a win-win to me.

I know this has been suggested before, but with the new "Following" user format, I figure it's a good time to suggest this again. When selecting "Followed Blogs" to show the blogs of people we follow, instead of showing the blog posts themselves in their entirety, I think the option to show them as a list format (much like the list of users we follow) would be great. It would help to find which blogs interest us right off the bat by their title (and maybe a sentence or two from the beginning of the post underneath the title?), plus it will show more blog posts on one page without the need to click through multiple pages.

Anyway, keep up the good work guys!

I would like it if you could access your Forum topics from your profile tab at the top of each page.  I always have to click through to my profile page and THEN hit the link for my forum topics. Small gripe, I know.

I would love the ability to see secret achievements on a game's achievement page.  I understand hiding them by default, but my primary use of looking up a list of achievements is to see the hidden ones.  I can use Xbox.com or load up the game for the regular ones.  So an option would be great.  Thank you.

Not sure if it's already been suggested, but I'd love to be able to add Achievements to Lists. I'm requesting this because I noticed there's an Add to List button on every Achievement's page, but it doesn't add the Achievement itself to the list, only the game. I was going to make a list of all the Achievements I've earned that I'm proud to have, but that's not currently possible. I'm not sure how difficult this would be for the duders upstairs to code, but if you don't ask, you don't get, and I figured it'd be worth asking.

So yeah, adding individual Achievements to Lists. Bam!

When one makes a list it would be nice if the image is one that can be selected from the page of that object/character etc. rather than being lumped with the default.

Giant Bomb and Valve should team up. In addition to Luchadeals for game-shipping websites, PC game pages should display the current price for the game on Steam, and if you have your Steam account tethered to your Giant Bomb account, you should be able to click a link to trigger the download in your Steam client.  (If such cyber-wizardry is possible, that is...)

Maybe this goes too far down the road of "conflict of interest", but this won't diminish the value of the editorial content one iota in my opinion.

I wonder if it would be possible to pull achievements for Dragon Age (and Mass Effect 2) PC users?

Hello Giant Bomb I hope you are reading this, this is just an idea that hit me.  I was reading an article in a magazine recently and noticed how my eye was drawn to certain quotes that stood out on the page and drew me into the article (this is their purpose, of course, and we have all been here at some point or another); the connections were made.  After a little searching on the web I found out the proper name of this device is called a " pull-quote," Giant Bomb could benefit from pull-quotes.  This simple device is eye catching and would help with generating increased interest in user reviews, blogs, and staff news articles.

If done to fit the formatting of GBs layout I am positive this could be used effectively.  Perhaps a character limit would need to be enforced or something to prevent overuse...

A lot of longer reviews or blog posts are most certainly overlooked as most users do not want to read a novel if they have no interest, but with pull-quotes sticking out front-and-center it would draw their eye and if the quote interests the reader, they will likely read more of the article than they would have otherwise due to the interest the quote has created.

This form of quoting is different than regular quotes we are used to on the forums.  A pull-quote would work much like images do in that they would be off to the left or right of the article and be eye catching, as well as help with the "flow" of the article and its "readability," by breaking up a wall of text.

tl;dr - Pull-quotes would be used to catch a reader's eye and pull them into an article.  They work differently than the normal quote box we are used to seeing in the forums in terms of both form and function.

I'm not really sure this thread gets read any more, but I'll post my idea.

So, you know how Last.fm and Pandora suggests to you music based on your taste in music? I feel that Giant Bomb would benefit from something like this, but of course with games instead. This could possibly be done by comparing your achievements or logged sessions to other users, seeing what games they play the most that you haven't played, and suggesting them to you.

Find a way to get that damn PS3 Trophy system working again on Giantbomb. Facebook is about to get there's from what I heard or it's still a rumor.

A simple unread number beside the total number of posts on the forums would be nice.
And also a way of subscribing to particular threads to make them easier to keep track off.

Really a whole lot of forum based functionality missing.

The problem wasn't on Giant Bomb's end, Sony dropped support for the Trophy data. Details explained within this thread. :)

Suggestion isn't more of a new feature, but something to help out the new registering users. I'll start my moaning post right now:

We see a new user almost everyday making some kind of topic that is inevitably locked. When first registering, why not have some kind of inbox mail (if they don't already), prompting them to check out the Site Rules / FAQ?

Maybe a pop-up or something showing them some of the features they can use so their topics don't end up getting locked or having users be cruel to them.

Might as well "bump" this for a suggestion: a special image insert feature for reviews that allows you to go to the gallery of the game you're reviewing. It just seems unnecessarily indirect to search for the game I'm reviewing just to get some pictures for that review.

Dunno if this has already been suggested, but I'd like to be able to automatically order my lists. For instance alphabetically, by their average rating, or, most importantly for me, the order in which they were released.

I really like the new home page but I have a small suggestion. It would be nice to have navigation arrows beside the reviews pane (just like the articles pane right above it). There are a lot of recent games so it would be useful to see more than six.
