its called an endurance run because it takes a long, long time to complete. so that wouldn't happen. plus, a lot of people have played the fallout games already, and i think the purpose is to have fun playing a really long, quirky, under-appreciated game.

exactly when they first sat down to do an endurance run they called it that because they REALLY didn't like Perosna 4. That's what partially makes it hillarious; if they made 1 for Fallout 3, not only would it be very short, it would also be actually fun for the guys, so they wouldn't make as much fun of it. Perhaps they can start an endurance run of FF13 when it comes out?..

wtf are you talking about... That's got to be the most misinformed thing you've ever said. You couldnt play Fallout 3 as an FPS even if you tried, and the first two are complex CRPGs with tons of choices/outcomes, even 3 is a pretty complex RPG.

I don't think they'd make a good endurance run though (You guys are all assuming they even want to do this again, this strikes me as a one off occurence tbh, it's quite a commitment, especially with people complaining about the lack of other content) as they are very very difficult and if the guys havn't played before they are likely to die repeatedly and get bored/frustrated. Whereas if they are vets, they will ace the game it will be kinda boring. Plus a whole bunch of people are so ignorant as to now even know the originals exist, let alone want to watch the guys play them, and I honestly wouldnt want to watch them play 3.

Tactics doesnt count. Nor does Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.

people saying FF and KH and shit. They don't seem to like those types of games. That's why they enjoy P4 so much, it's something different from generic jap-fantasy, and stupid disney bullshit. As for fallout.... meh... somewhat fun to play not so much to watch. Any quicklook for fallout dlc I haven't been able to watch all the way through.

I love Morrowind to death but I don't think Vinny/Jeff would enjoy it because its so unstructured. And most people would find it boring and/or wouldn't be able to look past the graphics.

As for Fallout: No way, Fallout 1/2 are terrible to watch and extremely dated. Fallout 3 would be boring because everyone's already played it. I honestly don't know what the next ER game should be. I agree that it should be fun, niche, and quirky. And it's hard to top Atlus games in that regard. I think Devil Summoner 2 looked great from the endurance look but there seemed to be a lot of hate for it. Then again, the same was true with P4 at the beginning of the ER.

All I know about Fallout 1&2 was from the excellent Gametrailers retrospectives. I got the impression that there was some pretty good dialogue and characters in that game and I suspect it would be something Jeff and Vinny haven't played before. But I don't know enough about it to know how interesting the gameplay would be to watch (tbh the gameplay tends to be the less interesting part of the Persona 4 ER though there are moments and good running jokes). Of the various games I've thought about it seems to have some things going for it to be suitable.

I agree that they need a game to crack jokes about - maybe an old school point and click adventure. I've wondered about Grim Fandango in previous forum threads. The more I think about it, it's going to be hard to get something as good as P4 to do an ER on and there'll certainly be people upset with whatever game gets chosen when comparing it back to the P4 ER.

Yeah, I wanna see them do an ER for a game thats as funny and ridiculous as P4, Fallout games and Morrowind aren't funny and ridiculous at all, and would be hard to commentate. Serious games=bad ER
