What would you say if the next endurance run was a Fallout game?

I think they should switch to bad bad bad bad bad games that featured on the last generation of consoles. It'd be more interesting to see how long they last playing god-awful games and there's just so many.

As much as I liked the old Fallouts, I wouldn't enjoy watching someone else play them. It would only work as a bunch of screenshots with captions, and that's a Let's Play thing, not an Endurance Run thing.

Let me run this one past you: Sonic the Hedgehog 2006. Brilliant, right?

@bwooduhs: what about fallout 1 or 2? "
Either would be awesome.

If they get something foisted on them I doubt the results would be the same.

Fallout 3: bad idea, much too well known and therefore predictable by the guys and I already know all the stuff and not everything of it is especially entertaining to retell.

IMO definate ER critereas:
-a little bit dumb, but highly stylized (basically screaming Japanese)
-entertaining and versatile (never get boring and/or predictable, no pure grinding stuff)
-long enough to be enduring (it is called ENDURANCE Run for a reason)
-niche product (otherwise everybody would already know it)
-emotionally ambigious (like full of LOLWUT-moments, you should not only like it, mechanically flawed)
-story and character driven (no Katamari-style endless games)

After looking at those points I would definately go for an Indie style Japanese game.

exactly when they first sat down to do an endurance run they called it that because they REALLY didn't like Perosna 4.

"
Um, no. They called it the Endurance Run because they knew it would take a long time to complete.

I don't think the guys ever disliked the game, it was called the Endurance Run from the first episode. Vinny and Jeff have said more than once they both bought the game but couldn't commit to the time required so Jeff said let's do this at work together. Even at work, it takes time and effort to produce and if people didn't take to it, it wouldn't be worth doing. They were also aware that Persona 4 can sometimes be brutal and kill you in short order. They weren't sure if they'd continue when that happened - would it kill their enthusiasm, along with the viewers, knowing they had to rehash what they'd done. They discussed this on the Bombcasts a few times.

If Jeff said he doesn't know how much longer he can keep it up, I'm sure Funky Student could hook him up with some pills to take care of that problem. Funky would keep that business on the DL fo sho.
