Conviction has to be the most visually impressive game at the show. That presentation within the game's textures and surfaces is INCREDIBLE. Can't wait to pick that one up.

I was basically coming into E3 looking for info on Mass Effect 2 and not much else. And while I got plenty of ME2 goodness (the hands-on demo on G4 got me the most excited, where you could see hints of certain enemies crawling around because Shepard just blew their fucking legs off; space dirt, indeed), that isn't what has blown me away.

Splinter Cell: Conviction is just looking incredible, and I'm not even a Splinter Cell or "Tom Clancy's" fan really. The cinematic style, intricate locations and storytelling all reminds me of controlling a high-budget Borne-style action game. And that is something I desperately want to see more of. Almost immediately jumped to the top of my wish list.

Good to see Splinter Cell being a series everyone is really excited to play again.  I love the old style of games but thought Double Agent wasn't really that great, especially considering how great Splinter Cell 3 was.  I suppose you can only do so much of that stealth before you maybe have to try something else (though Splinter Cell 3 was so great I would have kept playing games like that).  Conviction looks great though and I love how awesome Fisher is in that game.  Its a really badass version of Jason Bourne.

That's a carbon copy of my thoughts. Thanks.

Splinter Cell: Conviction and ODST.
Two must buys.

Splinter Cell certainly. But it you already have Halo 3 (and chances are if you want ODST you do) then i cant see much of a point in plugging down 60 bucks. You were talking earlier about how NSMB Wii needs to be sold at a cheaper price. I'd say the same is true with ODST

Splinter Cell for me. It just looked awesome, and I've never even played a Splinter Cell game before.

The Nintendo fanboy in me says Metroid and Galaxy 2, but Alan Wake... man I think I'm gonna love that game.

I... don't know.  I know the only game I know I'll get is Galaxy 2, and that's not to say that I was blown away by what they showed.   Hard Rain intrigues me from a gameplay standpoint, always had a soft spot for Dragon's Lair, and this game really evolves the formula pretty fantastically.   My highlight was really the motion control announcements, but that's just technology, not games.

Crackdown 2.

Have been waiting for this for quite some time. Although I'm not sure about the whole "monsters" part of the game, hope it doesn't just turn into a zombie game, they should have stuck with the gangs but made the story deeper and the overall game a longer experience.

Damn good stuff Bioware. It looks like Mass Effect 2 will be the Empire Strikes Back theme of the series. I like what I see.

And yes, Alan Wake and Splinter Cell looked pretty good too. They were probably the best that MS showed.

My thought was that it would be the "Two Towers" of Mass Effect, but same difference.

I totally changed my decision upon finding out Metroid Other M is being (at least partially) developed by Team Ninja, ok, sure, Itakagi's not there anymore but if they can still put out a game of the same quality they are known for, I want me a piece of that. Imo, the trailer is looking like Metroid should look like, I never did support switching it to an FPS, very reason I never bothered to play prime 2 or 3.

Ive said it before and ill say it again. Team Ninja is fine without Itagaki. He only added the boob physics. His old team is more than capable of handling this.

If we're talking games that haven't been revealed before, I'd say Metroid, with Mario Galaxy 2 and Golden Sun close behind.

If you're just asking which game at E3 I'm most excited for, it has to be Mass Effect 2. I cannot wait for that game and every single thing I read or watch just makes me want it more.

@AgentJ:

He was responsible for a lot more than that, but I have no doubts that Team Ninja can make a damned fine game without him. Really looking forward to the game now, although I want more details on how things will work, because bits of the trailer were pre-rendered, and some bits weren't, some bits were first person, some third. I'm guessing maybe it has FPS sections, or you can aim the gun in first person or something, but however it turns out, I want it :)

A thought someone had is that the first person parts might be kind of like the quicktime events in Ninja Gaiden, except instead of pressing specific buttons you have to shoot a specific spot.

Ah that'd be kinda cool I guess, kinda like the parts where a tentacle grabs you in Dead Space, but first person? Yea I could dig that, would be better than "Press A or Die" thats for sure.
