Which single game was the highlight of E3?

The Last Guardian. The single ray of hope of the video game industry. The proof of concept that there are some developers out there who actually try to use this amazing technology to explore storytelling that doesn't imitate bad action movies, and that is actually part of the gameplay.

Second place goes to Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. For similar reasons as The Last Guardian, but mainly because it looks a lot better than I thought, and because it seems to be actually scary again.

There's still tomorrow, so we don't know exactly what Konami will have. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow could be friggin' amazing, but as of now it's out of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Gran Turismo 5/PSP and Uncharted 2. That building collapse sequence was astonishing. That game has improved ten fold over Drake's Fortune, and that's saying something, because Drake's Fortune is still one of the best PlayStation 3 titles out there (in my opinion).

Shattered Memories is being developed by a studio literally just down the road from me :) One I hope to gain a work placement at for Uni. :D They are really great guys i've met some of them on a couple occasions, i'm really looking forward to Shattered Memories as well because for me homecoming and origins (origins by the same guys as shattered memories) didn't really cut it for me.

Thats kind of cool! I can see the Microsoft and Nintendo campuses, as well as Valve, from a spot near my house

AgentJ: SilentHill gets my vote because it does away with guns. I was sceptical of that, but after Microsofts and Sonys conference and how crazy everyone is about games that consist almost exclusively of killing and blowing up stuff, every game that tries something different is immediatly superior. Alan Wake, to me, while interesting, looked like Homecoming with higher production values.
Splinter Cell impressed me more, actually. Splinter Cell looked like it wanted to have as little cutscenes as possible, and employed surreal visual storytelling during gameplay. I like that.

btw., everyone please keep on making FIND SARAHS KILLER a meme. : )

I totally agree. Mass Effect 2 and Uncharted 2 look incredible, but the original Golden Sun was one of my favorite games of all time. I thought this franchise was dead, but that sudden announcement blew my mind.

Has to be the Archery game in Wii Sports Resort, for me. Looked like it worked really well and I can see myself having a lot of fun with it.
