Update: Game's still coming out

Not that anyone (including me) really cares, but this game that I thought was vaporware from the same developers that brought us Spartacus Legends is still coming out.

Here are the achievements, for one. And, also, a new trailer was posted fairly recently that I wasn't aware of.

Apparently due to come out this fall, but we'll see if that actually happens given the game's history.

Still tamer than DoA.

Man some of those animations look turrrrible. Assuming this comes out I genuinely look forward to the quick-look.

Wow, this looks terrible for a variety of reasons.

None of the names attached to that trailer have anything related to the game attached to their websites or social media pages. Even Kung Fu Factory's facebook page only has stuff for that Spartacus game. I mean, you would think. They put up a trailer like a week ago right? You would think there would be some company twitter account saying 'hey we just uploaded a new trailer for our upcoming fighting game' or fucking something.

I don't know. It strikes me as weird is all. Either way, as long as it's cheap, I'll give it a try. It looks like all those terrible fighting games on the original Xbox, and I love me some Kakuto Chojin and some Tao Feng, so this game should be right up my alley.

I would argue that it's just enough information.

This game just doesn't look very good at all.

At last, we have this generation's Catfight.

It still irks me a bit that this has absolutely nothing to do with the very similarly named Girlfight that starred Michelle Rodriguez. Every time a thread about this game comes up, I can't help but think about how pleasantly surprised I was with that film.

I don't think this game is going to pleasantly surprise me at all if it actually comes how, however.

I don't think it is. What's on that page to download is a video.

I am gonna be cynical but I have been looking at this for a bit since its reveal at GDC last year. From there to now, it looked like nothing changed. I bet they had to work on that Spartacus F2P game although the game was reported to be done last year. Even if they did additional development on the game, it still looks like it came out on the original Xbox (even worse the Dreamcast, joke in regards to a DC port aside).

From what the developers explained their gameplay design, it looks so unfocused and just grabbing design ideas from Street Fighter X Tekken along with other game mechanics and making it their own. Although that's not necessarily a bad thing, what was present in gameplay videos and demonstrations look very uninspired and tacky; even if this game was developed as a "passion project" from people who reportedly played fighting games. From what's provided, the passion is not showing.

By a month after release, there will probably be nothing about the game being present in terms of general news or competitive circuits.

Also why is this game published by an airsoft gun company?

In the end though, I should play it to determine if this is something worthy but the promotional silence makes it seem that it's going to be bleak.

Awww, I thought that it was gonna be one of those fighting games with FMV sprites.

Looks extremely embarrassing, from all of the characters looking (as usual) like sci-fi strippers, to the clear use of DOA_style anti-grav boob physics, to the cover art (?) that makes the two girls look as though they are about to make out.

So basically, this just looks like it will be an inferior copycat of a game that already exists, and can probably be found used for around the same price at this point.

I hope for a quicklook.

Only a company called Kung-Fu Factory could make a game like this... Well I guess Tecmo already did.
