GTA: San Andreas HD?

Would anyone like a HD version of GTA: SA? I think it would be great having the best GTA game looking a lot better then it does. On that note, are there any mods on the PC to enhance the graphics? I think it would be great.

Yeah but I probably wouldn't buy it since I already own it on PS2. Best GTA ever.

God I'd love that, it was the best GTA by far.

I still need to play San Andreas, though even if they released it in HD, I wouldn't buy it unless they redid III and Vice City as well. I'm stubborn like that.

I really hope they take their experience and make a new GTA that can beat it instead.

There are HD "MODS" for GTA SA on pc they add  higher detailed models for cars, peds etc.. but not gunna get you your 1080peez. They would have to redo all the art work for the entire game and i dont see this happening.. maybe a up resed version but really whats the difference just play it in its orginal glory like i am right now on 360 :)

The PC version just supports HD resolutions. Looks crisper and runs smoother.

I'm sure you can run the game in HD rez on the pc. It's obviously not 480p

I used to think Vice City was the best, but after playing both a little recently San Andreas tells the better story.

I would rather see Rockstar focus on new games.  I want GTA V, Bully 2, Agent, Max Payne 3.

yeah really great.  id be satisfied with just GTA San Andreas HD for the ps3 but if they did a GTA collection with Vice city and Liberty City that will be fantastic.

If they touched up the controls some while they were at it I could be into it.
Played it in the not TOO distant past and thought it handled like ass.
But in the end I'd just prefer they worked out new stuff instead of re-releasing old stuff.

I don't have too much desire to play it again.  I want the genre to move forward in controls, game play and design, not backwards.

I love GTA and Saints Row. GTA is more serious.

GTA San Andreas have mods like SRT (whole game retextured)
SweetFX (new effects)
ENB (Like SweetFX but more simple also still great looking)

No way. If any HD remake of GTA is to be made. It has to be Vice City, this is not even a debate.

Seriously though, I was driving through the backwater towns and got this sudden flash of exactly how much San Andreas I played in 2004 and 05. Both of those games are excellent at capturing magic time during sunrise and sunset.

Vice City remake i'd personally prefer i mean we got a taste of San Andreas in GTA V, obviously not as great but i would love a 80's Miami again.

I think an official remake is past the date of possibility. It has been two consoles since the originals. Your best bet is to get them on iOS/Android. Those versions are actually pretty great, if you can get used to the controls

I have not played GTAV yet (I held out for the X1 version and will play it this fall in all its glory), but my understanding is that it's a spiritual successor of sorts to GTA:SA.

That said, GTA: San Andreas is the best GTA I've played, and it's not even close. Vice City's map is tiny, the 80s mostly sucked (though I'll admit that they nailed the era), and Scarface might be the most overrated movie of all time.

What a waste of talent and resources that would be for rockstar. This is as dumb as the FF7 HD remake idea. Remakes are boring, big remakes are super expensive AND boring. If you want to play an old game, go play it, it's still there. In the mean time rockstar will be working on red dead 2 (3?) or Bully 2 or GTA6: Miami, the game you actually want instead of a Vice City remake.
