Can't stand the lock-on. It just feels as is if I may as well skip through the fight sequences as it makes it so easy. I get no satisfaction or enjoyment from using it at all.
free-aim all the way. not much point in letting the game do all the work for you. although it's a shame certain events in this game seem to be pretty much impossible or at least 10 times harder with free aim. Tried Trevors first rampage mission at least a dozen times and just couldn't get it done. otherwise the shooting feels great. not quite as nuanced as in rdr, but still pretty good, especially for an open world shooter.
