Patch 1.1 is out!

The free patch brings the console version to parity with the arcade version. It tweaks character specific things and system wide mechanics. Here is a working list of changes.

I will designate some time during the evening every week for casual games with the GB community. I'll bump the fourm here and will host an open lobby in North America 1> District 1A> Room #21> Lobby name: GiantBomb Casuals. All are welcome and remember it's just for fun. Feel free to come in and chat or spectate some games if that's all you want to do.

How to Find a Private Room

Some people don't know how it works so here's a rough guide. Don't get lost...

Normal invites don't work between PS3/PS4 so this is the only way a private lobby can be made.

From the Main Menu

NETWORK: Lobby

Press the Triangle button

Player Match

Search

Search ID

Enter the 4 digit Room ID provided by the Room Host (Looks like this: 6a0e)

Then enter a password when prompted. This is also provided by the Room Host.

My PSN ID and Challonge name are both Noside 124.

You might want to mention that Challonge is a website so that newcomers like myself know what you're talking about. I managed to put it together, but it took a little bit.

Thanks for setting this stuff up. I look forward to trying to get better at this game. I can beat arcade mode on maniac difficulty now, but I can tell that the few people I've played online are still better than me.

GGs to those I faced. I've honestly not had much motivation to stick and learn Xrd, but those casuals afterwards with MikeFightNight and IrrelevantJohn were fun.

Same... I had not stuck with it and played/learned much at all since the last tournament we did.

Anyway, GG to all who participated and thanks to MIkeFightNight for putting it together. I'll be around next Saturday to do it again, hopefully we can get some more people this time!

Unfortunatley I just realized I will be away this coming weekend and can not hold the tournament on the regular Saturday schedule. Instead of just cancelling it for this week i've decided to move it up to during the weekday. I'm planning for same DQ times but this Thursday (Jan 22).

Apologies to @caudill@nefarious_al . I see you guys have already signed up and I hope you all can still make it on this new date. If not i'm flexible and can try and alter times in this case.

@nefarious_al: It could have been you were playing at a busy hour traffic hour for your ISP. Regardless you should give it at least another try. Next time I'm going to have losers brackets being played at the same time so things move faster.

I play a few friends on the east coast almost everyday at all hours and never get worse than a solid 4 frame delay. My west coast connection just doesn't like some of you guys I guess.

Playing in lag is no fun for anybody. 5-19 frame fluctuations like I was getting in a few rounds... unplayable to say the least.
