Still not as good as the GameCube version.

That... is way more impressive on the actual site. I mean, good on them for doing a redesign, didn't know that happened, but wow. Jeff's face is like, right up in your fucking grill.

Is that the part that makes people not like this game? The Wii-ness? I only played it on the Gamecube and it seemed totally fine.

His expression is priceless! Poor twilight princess.

@markwahlberg:

No, I was referencing how the GameCube version got the higher score, but the Wii version got marked as better or something.

Yep, exactly what I meant! I removed the image, maybe more people will get the same feeling?

Also Twilight Princess is an amazing game, one of my favorite Wii titles hands-down.

How can that dead-eyed glare not convince the reader that this game is an 8.8!?

This is the best thing that could have come out of that redesign.

That's the perfect thumbnail to have for that page.

Great. Now I'm gonna spend way more time than I have on gamespot in the past 5 years searching for the most wonderfully awkward generated banner photos. Thanks Alexis!

Visionary Jeff on this Shadowrun banner.

You're doing God's work, my son. Keep on searching for hilarious autogenerated banner photos.

Jeff is a really cool guy but if I didn't know him and I crossed paths with him in a dark alley I'd fear for my life.

I don't think they redid all those pages so they must have made a magic script that converts all the old reviews. I am pretty amazed by that. They look great.

GameSpot looks like Polygon now.

I think that @snail is being literal. It's a circle.

OK, so I was completely wrong. But how is this coming "full circle"? It's just a dumb picture of Jeff.

Man, when that page is just great. Big ass picture of annoyed looking gerstmann with a play button for the video review.

I like the Gears of War page a lot.

To be fair, that was always the thumbnail on there.

Maaaaan I spent a lot of time on GameSpot back in the day. I almost miss it...but then I remember that Giant Bomb is essentially what made GameSpot great anyway.

@believer258: In the context of the 8.8 "scandal" - a dumb shitshow of angry threads, hate mail, and allegedly even death threats, all of which he quite simply never gave a fuck about - this is a great after-touch to one of Gamespot's most famous reviews ever.

Yeah, but how has it come "full-circle"?
