Poll: Hummus: For or Against? (134 votes)

Hummus is the best thing since mashed chickpeas! 60%
Why would anyone touch that stuff? 40%

As we all know John T. Drake is a notorious hater of hummus but where do you stand?

I be all up on hummus! Its the cheapest thing to buy at school.

Wit, pretzels.

Definitely pro hummus. I guess they don't serve it on airplanes or something.

Anti-hummus. It's like the devil shit on a plate and passed it off as food. Why would anyone want that?

Just to set the record straight I am anti-hummus.

@blu3v3nom07: Have you seen the little containers that have hummus but have pretzels on top of the lid?

Anyone who dislikes hummus is probably a horrible person

#6 Edited by JasonR86 (9711 posts) -

Indifferent. Never tried it myself. I'm not opposed to it. But I'm not going to go out of my way to try it. I have a feeling I might dislike the people who like hummus though. It seems like something people who drive bio-diesel cars and want to make sure you know that they drive bio-diesel cars would like hummus. And those people suck. So hummus might suck.

If that's not logic I don't know what the fuck is.

Hummus, like all things, is good in moderation.

John Drake is incapable of being wrong.

Hummus is pretty tasty, if you live in Central New York go to this awesome Middle Eastern restaurant!

King David's Restaurant

Until those tweets, I had never heard of it.

Looking it up, it seems pretty icky.

@hardindr: Maybe I will go next time I am in the city, that is if they have other things there like shawarma.

I like hummus, well, I like some hummus, roasted red pepper and garlic hummus on toasted pita bread is fucking delicious.

#15 Posted by casper_ (903 posts) -

me and hummus go way back

Hummus and pita chips were kind of my D&D group's unofficial snack until the pizza showed up. Totally for it!

No, I don't want no hummus.

Though I did only try it as a kid and it was some sort of "diet" hummus. Maybe another test run is required.

Fuck hummus.

#19 Posted by Orks (10 posts) -

I would like a shower that spews hummus.

#21 Edited by Sinusoidal (1520 posts) -

Love it! Been eating and making it since I first found out about it maybe a decade and a half ago. Not as often these days since the ingredients are harder to come by where I live now. Eat enough hummus and your shit is silky golden smoothness!

#22 Posted by TruthTellah (9134 posts) -

John Drake is a trend setter. Down with hummus!

#23 Posted by Ramone (2967 posts) -

I'm so for hummus it hurts.

#24 Posted by oodli (107 posts) -

Anyone who does not like hummus is just in denial(same with tehina).

#25 Posted by Nickieroonie (141 posts) -

Hummus is nice, but tzatziki is nicer.

#26 Edited by donfonzie (206 posts) -

Hummus is pretty awesome.

#27 Posted by Osaladin (2521 posts) -

Most people I've met who dislike hummus haven't had real hummus. There's too many crappy store bought ones out there.

#28 Posted by Ducksworth (662 posts) -

Hummus is great. I've seen people fancy it up with parsley, nuts and what have you but the only thing I like with it is a bit of olive oil. Middle Eastern food in general is great.

In fact, I've had hummus on a flight. Airplane hummus confirmed. Also, hummus is fantastic.

What the fuck is wrong with people that don't like hummus?

#33 Edited by 49th (2758 posts) -

Hummus is the best, I eat hummus almost every week with taramasalata and some pita bread for dipping.

It's great for a snack or with cold cuts for lunch.

#37 Edited by Rokkaku (222 posts) -

Unbelievably for.

#41 Edited by MikkaQ (10294 posts) -

I had a huge hummus phase when I was younger but then I got really, really sick in the middle of it, and kinda from that point on associated hummus with horrible disease, so I avoid it now.

#44 Posted by Pezen (1607 posts) -

Fuck That. I had it once, didn't care for it one bit. My wife told me at the time that it was "mediocre hummus" but even mediocre pizza isn't that bad. So even if it get just slightly better, it's still bad enough to me not really ever eating that stuff.

#45 Edited by Marcsman (3202 posts) -

Dead set against it. It is nasty.

#46 Posted by Phatmac (5726 posts) -

Fuck Hummus!

#47 Posted by Soap (3592 posts) -

Hummus is foul, as is anyone who likes it! (BOOM!)

#49 Edited by Ducksworth (662 posts) -
