Kinda disappointed at the "half sized" bionic arm

that hardly looks half scale when next to the full scale.

Is the full-scale part of some Japan-exclusive Super Limited Edition or something? Because I'd consider spending a stupid amount of money on a 1/1 scale arm...

I keep asking myself what I'd actually do with this thing. I still haven't come up with a good answer. Chances are still pretty good that I'll be pre-ordering it though.

I placed my pre-order thinking it was going to be a decent size. The arm looks like some cheap toy from a happy meal.

Thanks for the heads up on this, I knew it was half-size but I forgot how small hands are already. Considering they're trying to sell this for over double the US price here, I'm absolutely positive I'm not touching this edition with a 10-foot pole.

That's so much smaller than I thought. I won't cancel my order but I am bummed out.

Thankfully the arm isn't the main draw for me. I just hope that the making of is like the Metal Gear Solid 4 Gene documentary. If I don't get this, I won't be that bummed out and hope that the making of is released to YouTube.

It's not super small if you compare it to Kojima's arm. I think the full-size arm is a bit closer to the camera in that shot.

That said, wait 5-6 weeks and buy it on eBay, if you still want it by then.

It looks super small because it's not just length that's half scale. All three dimensions are cut in half, so it's actually about an eighth of the volume.

...is it bigger than a baby's arm?

I read somewhere that the NA arm is 23cm. I'm happy with that size, it's only going to collect dust on a shelf.

There must be some unscrupulous prosthetic company that would allow us just to buy a one and paint it red.

@humanity: Yeah you could get it from Play-Asia. You can't pre-order it right now. Not sure how that works. Might not be available until the game is released.

@guybrush: I checked it out and only saw the Collectors Edition with the half size replica over there.

@guybrush: Ahh thanks, now I have to wait and see how much this will cost to ship to Europe.

My issues is part that the 1/2 scale arm looks so small compared to the full size arm and part that in the UK theyre selling it for £99 while the US its $99 and even europe its 99 euros
