I like to define a summer jam as a song that you just can't help but blast when it comes on (preferably while driving on a beautiful day with the windows down)
What are your go-to songs this summer?

My top 5 songs from this year that I will be jamming the most this summer, as of right now at least, some great music coming out over the next two month that is sure to change some of these songs, but asides from the classic summer jams these are the new ones to my summer playlist.
There's one of these up already: Summer Jams 2012!
It would seem that Soul Theory is my Summer Jam. Soul Theory is... a band I just discovered in Moses Lake, WA. It was weird because I basically found out about them by random happen chance. I struck up conversation with a customer at work the other day, just curious what he did. Said that in his spare time he's in a band, told me the name and told me to go to Reverbnation and take a listen. So that night I listened to a snippet of them and really got into it. Anyway I ran into him the next day, told him I dug it, asked if he had an album or could burn a CD of it. He just told me to drop by after work and he'd hook me up. Now, I'm thinking "Right on, dude's gonna burn me a CD and we'll kick the shit for a few minutes and I'll mosey on." I get off work, find the house and am met by him with his brother on their porch. We head into the house and he hands me this shrink wrapped CD. It's one of those thin cardboard folding cases. Fuck. The art on this is great... this is a quality CD. The one brother explains that they have a few boxes of them because the artist screwed them over so now they can't sell them. Instead, they tell me to burn a couple of discs and give them to friends. All the payment they need. Works for me.
Either way, a Gin and Cranberry juice was had, learned some cool stuff from them. Ended up hanging out for like an hour. I've already listened to the CD a couple of times now... And that was... yesterday that I got it.
Anyway. I'll just drop their link here. I'm digging this shit so hard.
Getting in this Jam Thread
Got into the rest of Black Hippy after loving Section.80 and hearing Control System.
Sick song, Sick rapper, Sick vid.
Bun B killed this amazing beat and outrapped Gambino on this track, which happened a lot on Royalty. (That tends to happen when you throw Bun B, RZA, and Ghostface as features on your mixtape though.)
Action Bronson is pretty killer, Can't wait to see what he does next.
