3 Women busted for running a Toddler Fight Club

So holy shit... this happened apparently.... and I'm thinking this is pretty fucked up although judging by the article none of the kids were seriously hurt but still...

Unless a heroin ring run by adorable Corgis is uncovered in Ohio this afternoon, we’re confident that this toddler fight club in Delaware will take the cake for “Most Discouraging Story About America” today.
Three women, all of them day care workers, were arrested Monday after police uncovered a cell phone video in which they could be seen organizing (and pretty much refereeing) fights between toddlers, according to CNN
The toddlers were not seriously injured, but they were “clearly hurting each other,” said Dover Police Capt. Tim Stump.
Authorities have not released the video but say one day care worker said “No pinching, only punching” after one of the boys complained that the other had pinched him.
The video purportedly shows seven other children seated in the room with their backs to the fighting, according to police.
“It’s not like they didn’t know what was going on, and they were just encouraging them to continue,” Stump said. “One of the children attempted to run, but one of the teachers pushes him back into the fray.
Police are investigating the possibility that this was not an isolated incident, but at this time have no reason to believe it was not.
We’ve done some pretty bad things, you guys, but I think toddler fight club takes the cake for the worst thing ever done. I just don’t understand how three women in their right minds (well, I guess there is nothing “right” about their minds) never stopped and thought, “Hey wait a minute, we’re doing something dastardly and probably shouldn’t force toddlers to fight each other.” Weird.

On the other hand, THAT'S AMAZING.

DO NOT take your child to day care! If you must leave your child with somebody while you work, make sure you fucking know the people. It's always amazed me how little parents seem to care about where they leave their kids during the day. I was also left at a couple very shitty daycare places as a child, and I have lasting issues with religion and strangers which I believe started in these places. Avoid churches, first and foremost.

serious though, though this is sick, I don't see how toddlers can injure each other.

You've got to train them from birth to fight. It's too late when they're that old.

I feel terrible for giggling at this, because it really is a fucking horrible thing, but now all I can think about is a "Fight Club Babies" animated series.

I'm not entirely sure which one I want to say it is. On the one hand, this is horrible. On the other... this could be darkly humorous.

Some people are just, I don't know, fucking stupid? Who could one day wake up and think that this was a good idea, and who's parents were on a lot of drugs when they made their child who grew up to say "I would watch that!"

I started a fight club at my high school. It lasted maybe a week, until me and another guy almost broke our hands because we both went to punch each other at the same time and our fists collided. Ouch.

This is the perfect way for kids to build up self-esteem and earn money for their parents.

The parents can earn money for the kids college or psychiatric fees while the parents of the losing child can find the nearest safe-haven to drop the kid off and try again in 3 years. It's a win win!

I think this should be sanctioned though and should probably have drug tests like they do in UFC. We don't need a steroid baby defeating everyone.

I think we should have these 3 women fight to the death as punishment and the last one left standing gets to fight in the UFC... or jay. Both are just another death sentence.

While some people think that toddler fighting rings are funny. What is sad are incidents of abuse not being reported. Coming from the day care or the home. Imagine a parent who sent their kid to that day care and to find bruises on them. It would be upsetting to know that the people who were intrusted with the lives of kids would do such a thing.

I was at my wife's work outing last week and a bunch of her co-works had kids. I mentioned to some people we should put them all in a ring and see which one walks/crawls out....damn people stole my idea
