I reached 20k in gamerscore in July of 2009. Today, I just passed 30k. I know that's nothing compared to the vast majority of members on this site, but when you have a career and 2 children under the age of six, that's pretty good. In 2009 I was 31, today I'm 34. It took three years. I guessed in my 20k post I would make it by April 2011; that was off by just a hair. I'd have to say that since July 2009, the Batman games by Rocksteady have been my favorites. I've had to replace my 360 twice in the 30k time frame. I have a feeling 40k won't be until 2015.

Actually, 30k is a bit more than most members on this site. Congratulations, sir.

I need to go hit 80k one of these days.

I'm fairly close but I don't know what I want to do to cross that line. Maybe round out my backlog...

@jhosaphat: I stopped caring about Gamerscore™© when I hit 40k, and that was about six years ago. Scrap logging/caring about your Gamerscore™© and make yourself a sick huge spreadsheet of your sick accomplishments instead, it's what I'm doing now. Log what you play, when/how long you play it, date your first and last achievements, complementation percentage, how and why you played a game, etc.

Good idea with the spreadsheet, I'm way too deep into my 360 at this point to do it for this generation, but I should remember that for next gen.

I'm on about 32,000, and I'm similarly too busy to be playing too many games. I stopped using Gamerscore as a number to chase, and started using it as a way to extend the life of my games. They're great for squeezing a few extra months out of games you've enjoyed before moving on.

@Fattony12000 That number was about where it broke for me, too. What got me was Giant Bomb stuff; first I tried to get 2/3 of my games up to B or higher, then I tried to get 350 achievements per game, then 375, and finally 400 (which I broke after S-Ranking Batman and Shadows of the Damned). Now they're just weird anomalies. I like them if only to establish a precise date I played that game.

I'm about to hit 50k which is both a gift and a curse. I'm a bit embarrassed by having such a huge score. I'm not even an achievement junkie most of the time, it simply means that I have played too many damn games!
