How are they shooting down helicopters? Do they have something that locks on, or did they just get lucky with an RPG?
It is when you consider it takes at least a year of training to be a SEAL and the drop out rate is like 80%.7% isn't that much...
loss of human life is tragic , why you dont care about other innocent life losses then americans?
how many thousands of innocent ppl died in the name of american 'crusade against terrorism'

Think of it more as a group of incredibly brave soldiers died in the line of duty. It's a tragedy for any soldier to die, even if it is an expected price of war.7% isn't that much...
On this topic i happen to agree with Einstein
"He who joyfully marches to music rank and file, has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder."
loss of human life is tragic , why you dont care about other innocent life losses then americans? how many thousands of innocent ppl died in the name of american 'crusade against terrorism'That's exactly what I meant, but I didn't want to take any sides. I am againts all wars, but this is an american website and I don't want to offend anybody (I am NOT from USA).
maybe they should get the fuck out of another people's land? pretty sure that'd stop them getting killed
i dont blame american ppl , i blame the politics and the 'dark side' , u know , there is something more powerful then the king himself behind the scene, but the sad thing is that a lot of american ppl believe these lies.
you open your T.V. tell me plz, how many times you will hear this word: 'terrorism', it get repeated so many times , so many fucking times , ppl at the end will believe it.
war is a very bad thing , hope ppl should ban that shit ........ but it sounds more like a utopia words... sadly
maybe they should get the fuck out of another people's land? pretty sure that'd stop them getting killedFuck you
for reference:
Every day, almost 16,000 children die from hunger-related causes. That's one child every five seconds.
232,960 women are raped /sexually assulted a year in the US
That's 638 women a day, or 26 an hour or 1 every 3 minutes
http://www.now.org/issues/violence/stats.html
none of these people's families are getting military pensions

Fucking hell, leave the political bullshit out of one thread?
I disagree with the war in Afghanistan (as much with how it's being fought as with the moral implications of invading a sovereign nation), but that doesn't make the death of these soldiers any less tragic.
They are there on behalf of politicians, as are the soldiers of my own nation (Australia). These men were killed doing their jobs and it is a shitty, shitty thing to glory in their deaths as a way of saying "herpaderp War on Terra iz WRONZ0RZ!!!" or "this number of blind albino fetuses are aborted every millisecond".
None of those things makes this any less sad. It's this sort of attitude that had returning Vietnam veterans getting spat on in the streets, and that is a fucking disgrace.
So, Captain Fuck Face, what country are you from?@PeasantAbuse said:

If you care about these 30 people dying at all, it means you don't care about anyone else who died. The retard logic works its magic.@apoptosis61 said:

Probably the latter. It was flying low and Chinooks are LOL huge. They were bound to bring one down eventually.

From what I heard they were trying to land on the roof of a taliban leaders house...@Alex_Murphy said:

I'm not even going to try pretending I care. People die tragically every day; it's the way of life. And in my opinion, becoming a soldier and then going to another country to either kill or get killed is fucking idiotic. It's about as intelligent as playing russian roulette.
@Kazona: indeed no war without warriors.
Exactly. It's not a tragedy, it's another day at work. They're fucking soldiers. The town-centre bombing in Norway was one thing, but I can't really get choked up about an accident with SEAL Team 6.
I mean they probably kill people every day, and dive into the most dangerous conflicts in the world all the time.
Think about the amount of intense dedication and skill existed in each ONE of those SEAL's...yeah - 7% of a specialised group is a critical blow. You never know - any one of those guys and gals might have had a particular key skill, which was unique to them. A literal one in a million individual.
And all because of the fact that they were trying to help keep peace real a bit longer in Afghanistan... nuke the fuckers that killed them.

Well aren't you all battle hardened and gritty Mr. Neverdidathingworthashitinhislife?
I'm sure it's a tragedy to those who they left behind.
Oh. Haha.
First, Seal Team 6 doesn't exist anymore. It was replaced by DEVGRU over a decade ago. Seal team 6 is the old nomenclature that technically shouldn't be used anymore, but blame stupid media for spreading it around when Osama was killed. And there are rumors that even the recent DEVGRU name was replaced by another name but it's classified. Delta Force was replaced by ACE (Army Compartmented Elements).
And any loss of life is tragic, we shouldn't forget about the Army crew that was piloting and manning the Chinook, and whatever Afghans were flying along with them.
The helicopter was being flown by 160th SOAR (night stalkers), the same group that was involved in the MOG in 1993 (black hawk down).

True words, but he did go on to help build the Atomic Bomb....
Timely little lession about how killing and dying really works. I do feel bad, but then someone somewheres almost mostly feels bad when somone else dies. Mommy, daddy brother or sister. Is it Us-0, Them-1? This is going fucking wonderful.... I guess we were feeling so good after Bin Laden I would not have been suprised the reboot that Seal movie with charlie sheen I believe. Yeah,.. things mean alot. Posted 0 minutes ago Reply |
Can someone tell me what the hell they are even doing over there still? Keeping peace? This place is so far in the dark ages that it would takes hundreds of years to create any change. Sad to see lives lost for no reason at all, Osama is dead, Saddam is dead, get the fuck out and go home.
@Dylabaloo: actually he wrote a letter that made the USA explore nukes as he was concerned hitler was making one, in his later life he said it was his biggest regret, he didnt take part in the manhatten project at all.
