Amazon Trade-In Program

Has anyone used their trade in programs for games, movies, music, whatever? When my wife and I moved into our place we combined our DVD/CD/game collections and had a TON of duplicates. On top of wanting to just digitize most of my movies and music, I want to free up some space. I don't really want to take the games to Gamestop because I don't really like shopping there, so even if I am getting like $1.00 in amazon credit, it's better than nothing or something just taking up space. I'm a prime member and order so much from there to being with that it seemed logical to just go with them. Just wondering how the program was, if anyone tried it and how much of what people send is actually accepted by them.

I've done it a lot for games. Never had an issue. I've even marked a couple games as in decent condition or whatever instead of good because I didn't have the instruction booklet and the case was a little messed up. Which basically means you would get less money from it. After they were accepted they were accepted as in good condition regardless of me conceding that they weren't.

So... it's really good I'd say. Only thing is it takes a good bit of time for them to be sent and accepted so it may be a bit before the money is put on your account.

I've used it a few times. I have never had anything returned to me, but I also always keep everything in excellent condition. They are a little slow getting back to you, but that is to be expected, I assume they get tons of shipments to go through daily. Turn around is usually just over a week from the day you send it off.

I did it with all my college textbooks and all but 5 of my games, got a ton of money from them. No problems what so ever.

Trading in games and movies works well.

The only trouble I ran into was trying to trade in my 360. The company that took it said it didn't work and sent it back to me (in a big otherwise empty box) but the thing worked fine.
