I seriously doubt you'd actually go to prison for it. I do Law in 6th Form and only in like 9% of convictions does the Judge actually send people to prison.

Jeff on this site is famous for saying "anime is for jerks". I don't think he meant it in a serious way though, and I'm pretty sure he said it when he worked at gamespot. I don't know the story though, other than that he said it.

It was more of a joke And I do still have some trust that judges can see the difference between innocent cartoons and actual childporn. Still it's a bad law and though I don't live in the UK, I do fear something like this can come to other countries. Too much of our privacy and rights are taken away under the banner of stopping childporn. It is an awful thing but we have to be careful that the end still justifies the means. Unfortunately it's an illusion that you can end childporn.

I don't believe that anime is for jerks, as the same could be said of any form of entertainment. It's all down to personal preference and it should be down to the person whether they deem anime entertaining and not the surrounding crowd. This is within reason of course.
Anime is pretty bad. Really fans just take a step back and look at it as a whole. So much creepy ass fanservice in everything. It's weird that there's a hotspring episode in like everything.
