A) Most people hate shit that be popular for the sake of being different -however they are counterbalanced by the people that will blindly worship something for its name- brand , or sentimental value, leaving a core group of 'fence sitters' that make valued judgements based on common sense, and a pre-determined set of criteria depending on the subject being judged to come to a final conclusion on whether the item at hand is truly great or not.
Most people will be unswayed by this evaluation , stating that the object is over-rated and therefore wank -or that the item is truly great no matter how poorly it has stood trial - the rest of the populace will then go ahead and judge it the way it should be- on common sense, personal preferance, and a 5 * system that takes away the 100% perfect game sense - and adds a sense that a game can still achieve greatness regardless of flaws - or a game can suck regardless of heritage or pedigree. -the way life should be.
That is the way of hyping, reviews, gaming journalism and Pretty much the rest of life.
Anyway, its pretty much 2am here and im drunk, should really go to bed, got work soon :(
Q) Tomorrow when i get back from work -should i play some pc left for dead, Some Endwar, fallout 3, motorstorm -or go through dead space again on a one gun only run?
