I got an email today about some mystery shopper website that now has opportunities in my city. Out of curiosity, and a reckless disinterest in the sanctity of my inbox, I went ahead an singed up for it. It only took a moment to do, and the whole process seems pretty painless. Search for open shops, choose one, set a date, then go buy some shit and report back. For instance, one I saw today was for booze and tobacco. I assume somebody is making sure employees are checking IDs.
The pay for this is negligible, though the free shit with it would be cool, I'm mostly just considering this out of curiosity. I used to work in retail and remember dreading the mystery shoppers, but always wanted to know what that process was like. Anybody have experience doing this?
