It should be visible where I am but thanks to a very thick layer of clouds (and living in the city) all i can see is a brightly lit sorta orange cloud. Anyone else having any luck?
Anyone able to check out the super moon eclipse going on?
So it didn't really look super huge? Huh...guess I don't feel too bummed that I can't/couldn't see it.
Might depend on where in the world you are. Here in Denmark the weather was clear, so you had a great view of the eclipse. I've just seen super moons that appeared a lot larger than this one.
I caught glimpses through the clouds just before the full eclipse, but nothing during sadly. Now that it's passing I'm getting some moonlight through the clouds.
Looked real pretty on the livestream I'm watching though! Kinda sucks to be looking at a lunar eclipse that way, but whaddayagonnado. They also said that it would only have appeared larger earlier in the evening. During the actual eclipse it'd appear more normal sized.
I'd rate tonight's eclipse a solid 8/10. Great effect, cool orange-red colour, but lacked size and a bit of the spectacle. Still worth seeing if you live in an area where you can see it.
Saw the super moon early on in the evening (7pm or so) and it was noticeably larger than normal. However, by the time the eclipse came around, there was some really dense cloud cover, so I couldn't see damn thing. Pretty disappointed about that.
It's been cloudy, so I saw a sorta indistinct reddish blob in the sky and said "Welp, I'll just look at the clear pictures of it tomorrow"
The weather was PERFECT where I live. Absolutely beautiful night, although the moon was a bit disappointing. I was expecting it to be a bit brighter than it was.
Don't buy in to the "Supermoon" hype! Its only a appears slightly larger than normal!
That being said, I caught most of the eclipse on youtube due to cloudy conditions here and being on the wrong part of the planet (Was still somewhat bright and the moon nearly on the horizon), but it was still pretty good.
That's a stunning reply/argument. I stand corrected by your astute insight. I can see you are a master debator and scholar.

Oof, that salt. Maybe a slight over reaction?
