I mean, looking at it, it jsut dosent seem like there any way it could be funny or good. The family is jsut a sheer carbon copy of the griffins, except there black. you got a baby, a fat kid, a girl, a fat husband, and a wife. plus, Im kinda miffed that Cleveland isnt going to be a part of Family guy anymore because I did think he was a funny character. Honestly, im a Mcfarland fan, but this show just looks like its gonna tank. Honestly, there was no reason teh show needed to happen.
I think this show is going to be awful. But then I don't think much of American Dad (ever) or Family Guy (anymore) either so I guess that is whats leading me to believe Cleveland is doomed to failure.

I haven't really paid to Family Guy lately, but how long has Cleveland been popular enough to warrant his own show? I read a review that said that his soon aged to his teen years while Stewie remains the same age. -_-'
Yes. I like Family Guy (Moreso in the past, but I don't think its as horrible now as people make it out to be), but this show just doesn't appeal to me. Cleveland just isn't a character that I think can carry a show, not in any sense of the word.
i think that the show is going to be might be bad. if anyone remembers the simpsons had a episode of a movie critic , later he had a spin off show that was funny. i kind of think that the show is just going to be family guy just with cleveland acting like peter.
I think it'll do about as well as American Dad, which is unfortunate, because I don't see any reason why the Cleveland show will appeal to me. Whereas American Dad, as similar as it is to Family Guy already, at least has the distinguishment of being better than it, and more like Family Guy was pre-cancellation.
The Critic was developed by ex-Simpsons writers, so after the show ran for a while, the character of Jay Sherman made a guest appearance on the Simpsons. Bart said they would not be returning the favor. I like the later episodes of the show a lot.
Anyway, I think it depends on what form the show takes. I expect The Cleveland Show will be a much closer to mainstream than its predecessor, Family Guy. Still, it looks a lot like Family Guy or American Dad. To any casually viewer I think they look like the same show with different skins. In fact, Family Guy made a reference to that in the episodes where Stewie killed Lois by confusing American Dad's Stan with Family Guy's Joe. The Cleveland Show might be more palatable to mainstream America over the often offensive material found in Family Guy, and therefore it might become a more popular than American Dad, MacFarlane's other show.
Wait, didn't we all decide long ago that it was a piece of crap? You know, because they took the most boring character possible and gave him his own show, despite having like 12 other characters who would've made at least half decent good shows WINK WINK?
I don't like Family Guy, and more than that, I don't like the fact that a great show like King of the Hill was basically cancelled solely to make room for this fucking Cleveland show. Fuck that! HANK HILL 4 LIFE!!!
I remember when I was still a teenager I loved Family Guy, to the point of torrenting episodes I missed, and when American Dad came out I tried to watch it. But something happened as I got older, that its appeal was lost to me. I still catch it from time to time, but the older episodes are still funnier to me. So, I'm probably not gonna watch the Cleveland Show.
Giving it a second look, it just looks pretty bad. I mean, I like Family Guy, but this show just seems like a copy of it, except possibly a little more racist. It's just another trashy show to me.

Looks like shit. Cleveland was already my least favorite of the main few characters. Besides that, Family Guy has already turned into a repetition of forced comedy.
well, i watched it i think it will get funnier. i just felt like they took family guy formula and put it into cleveland show. cleveland said "hey kind of like that time" it's something family guy says all the time.
If it has a more standard structure like American Dad it could be alright, but the none-sequitur shit is played out. I don't really think Fox cares if its actually good, they just want something people will tune in for and most likely the same idiots who hate the Simpsons now and Family Guy now yet still watch it will watch this.

My thoughts exactly. I loved the first three seasons of Family Guy and then they started gettng progressively worse thereafter. I can't stand American Dad, and the first episode of Cleveland didn't have many laughs either.
