First of all, I think that Boondock Saints is one of the greatest movies ever made.
So is there any other fans of that movie here thats excited about the sequal? Normaly I would think its the worst idea ever but since it has the same cast and crew on it, I cant help but to get a litlle pumped for it.

I'll just leave you whit a litlle quote form the first movie,
Rocco:Hey, Boris. What would you do if I told you your pinko Commie mother sucked so much dick, her face looks like an egg?

@Mrnitropb: Yeah I hope your wrong.  If we go into this with incredibly low expectations maybe it won't be so bad.  But as with most movies, sequels never turn out as good as the original.

Boondock Saints was the most overhyped piece of shit film I've ever seen in my life.  The sequel couldn't hold any less interest for me.

After watching the director manage to sabotage his own film so thoroughly in the documentary Overnight, I honestly can't say I expect a sequel to be all that great if he's still involved.

I loved Boondock Saints the first few times I watched it. However, it's lost a bit of it's lustre since then. There are quite a few weak points all around in the movie.

fake edit - wait, no Willem Dafoe??

Not really, at least it has some of the original people. Didn't Ron Jeremy make a cameo in the first one? If so, he really made the movie.

To be fair, the only movie hes made is Boondock Saints and what ever went on backstage the movie turned out pretty damn good. If anything he ruined hes career more then the movie by the way he did things.

I like Boondock Saints and I'm hoping this one turns out for the best. There aren't enough slow-mo gunfights in movies today.

I thought Boondock Saints 1 was a pretty good movie, but the massive amounts of hype surrounding it from my friends really hurt the initial experience. Willam DaFoe was good, but the whole sequence with him ravaging his hair and screaming/recalling the shootout was just too absurd to take seriously. I'll see the sequel, as my friends will flock to the theater on opening day.

I have no idea why the first movie is so popular.  It's an alright action movie, nothing more.  There's a ton of better movies in the same genre that should have more of a following than Boondock Saints has for some reason.

It will be damn hard to make a follow up to a cult classic. Would be cool if it would match the first one, but i doubt it will.

The first movie was absolutely hilarious, and it also starred Bob Marley, who is a comedian from my home state.

The only good thing about Boondock Saints is that Billy Connolly is in it...and he's a fucking badass.

That guys name has to have thrown of someone besides me every time they see it.  Anyone else out there?  It'd be like some random guy named Elvis Presley.

Doing another one of this movies is like trying to make a sequel to scarface and not beeing aware that about 60 to 80% of people who like the first one will be disapointed. Who knows though, maybe theyll be one of the rare cases in wich they get it right.

I enjoyed the first movie enough to put it in my DVD collection but I am not intersted in a sequel. I can see why the movie is a cult classic but I dont really think it deserves a sequel. When it comes out it will probobly not be great, I just hope its not S. Darko awful there is a great cult movie and a disgusting sequel for you.
