Last.fm has helped me find quite a few new bands, so I like it. This is my profile. You can add me as a friend if you want. I probably don't like the same music as you but I still enjoy seeing what other people listen to.
I really enjoyed last FM until it prompted that i had to pay if i wanted to use it any longer so now i just use Deezer.com witch is pretty much the same thing. It is free but has a 10 sec add every 7 songs or so which I don't mind.
@TheMustacheHero: Apparently Last.fm should be used more of a way to find new bands and stuff that somehow relate to bands you currently know. In other words, they can't get the licenses.
I use it for scrobbling what I listen to and to look at my charts and stuff. I don't care much about the community aspect and the radio is completely pointless to me.
Is there a way to organize the bands in your library into separate "stations"? You can build separate themed lists on Pandora, but I can't seem to find a similar ability on Last.fm so far. My tastes are diverse, but I don't want to listen to Halicali then NWA then Benny Carter.
I like it, but in Europe we have Spotify, it's like a normal media player with millions of tracks with adverts after every few. It's much better than Last.fm
