Games like Parappa The Rapper and Guitaroo Man are probably the closest. I'd like to see more though. Not like a video game of RENT but just something with good songs in.

I remember hearing about a Grease game for the Wii. Not sure about any of the details, but that definitely qualifies as a musical.

I'd love to see one, but man would that be horrible.

Well it's not exactly a musical as in a stage or film production but you really can't forget the Rhapsody franchise on the PSX and DS.  

The Space Channel 5 games might qualify in this category but other than that not really.

The last one I remember playing that at least seemed close to the description was Space Channel 5.
